Fuck that's awful. Why does Hunt keep chopping in when he's got an outside half break with players outside? Absolute shocker today.
ALB has been class. That's the game. Hunt you hungus egg.
Yeah he's a great player, just not happening tonight
Nor half his games last year. That last carry where he ignored the big hole and CGB outside and cut back in to run straight into a tackle is unforgivable.
I disagree i think he's been good most season.
But yeah he was awful tonightGood and great are different words bro 😁

@bones eh we won and you didn't soooo
But but but penalties for ruck play we see at almost every ruck!!
Nice one chiefs, hung in there when you were clearly outclassed by a team full of internationals.

I think the HIghlanders really struggled to get any good ball through thier hands, Gregory & Sio didnt see alot of ball, and when they did get it through, Nareki and Punivai were ineffective.
CGB looks a talent, but didnt see enough ball either, as may have been mentioned, Hunt struggled this week too, affecting things out further
-
Too good, never in doubt etc
-
Wrapt to see Gregory finding his confidence at this level and more importantly finding his way back to a midfield position..coaches who play very good footballers out of position do my head in ,very similar to the much maligned Michael Collins who was a brilliant schoolboy midfielder..but some twat who coached the Blues thought he would make a good fullback
-
@steven-harris yeah as a NOrthland fan was good to see him back up with a solid outing, especially in the mid-field where he should be, does alot of work off the ball, and is sound defensively, a bit more awareness off that break and who knows....
-
@taniwharugby his clean out work is superb
-
@steven-harris Agreed. Though I remember the season before Blues signed Collins Otago were playing him at 15 in NPC.
-
@kiwimurph he was never a fullback ,he looks more comfortable in the midfield ,looked lost at fullback
-
@steven-harris Agreed. Also doesn't have the pace for 15.

The Chiefs-Highlanders rivalry has been one of long winning streaks so hopefully this is the start of a new one for us Chiefs fans. Nice to finally come out on top after the recent heartbreak at the death.
Another away win in the competition.
Was a good win to add to the table as well. We aren’t going to make the final but should end the weekend in a decent slot.

Low quality game, but exciting finish.
ALB was my man of the match. Had a great game.
Weber, ENS, Tupaea good, too. It would be great if the ball got to the right side of the field, too. Not a single pass went to Lowe; the one occasion that it seemed to come his way, Stevenson threw the ball into touch. Defensively good though, including a great turnover. Dmac wearing the wrong boots until the 80th minute? Great kick for the win though. For the Highlanders, both Hunt and Ioane disappointing. Hunt has always been a bit inconsistent, but what's wrong with Ioane? He's gone backwards since being capped. Why do they keep playing Punivai on the wing? He could be a good midfielder, but too slow and doesn't have the skill set for the wing. Frizell, Evans and Lentjes good for the Landers. Himeno invisible. Hammington didn't get on the field. It could become a long season for Smith with Fakatava out.
Edited to add that I hope that the injuries (Tupaea, Parkinson) aren't too serious.
