If so, Fozzie has won the Tri-Nations and secured the Bledisloe for the year.
Job Done...…..That last bit serious?
A draw and two losses. That is a poor AB season.
We were lucky things went our way, rather than us being good (i.e Aus RG draw, one of them wins that and it all on the last match).

Did that game secure us the Tri-Nations for the year?

Just needs to win RWC2023 and it'll be 3 out of 3....

I should have thrown in a few more ………...'s ?
Well the job of securing the Bled and winning Tri-Nations is done. I didn't say it was done well

Fair enough, wasn't sure.

People need to realise that Savea is no longer a no.7. He doesn't play there anymore for the Hurricanes.
So for the ABs, he either starts at no.8 (as currently) or is the best option on the bench to provide cover in the loose forwards and used as an impact sub (my preference). But no chance Savea starts at openside unless there are injuries.
considering even the games he starts, he is most effective in the last quarter, while generally doing little for the rest, the evidence is really starting to stack up that he should be the impact sub
But i think he is locked in to the starting XV for the foreseeable future

@mariner4life Yeah I’ve been converted to this idea. Cane is a rock, we need it at test level. Add in Akira (with more tests) and another big bastard in 8. Ardie can cover all 3 off the bench, get him on to blow holes in defences late game

The All Blacks are Tri nations champions. Well done Fozzie.
😀

Yup, almost comparable to previous years. And Argentina is so much harder to play against than South Africa. Oh. As you were..

In all seriousness, South Africa playing test matches in Australia wouldn’t have been that great

Oh come on ACTC it's SOUTH AFRICA! They'd have won easy.

In all seriousness, Australia playing test matches in Australia (under a new coach) wasn’t that great and they still draw with and beat us.

@nostrildamus we're the only team that Australia beat this year.

And this is not because he merits selection in the starting XV - whether at 7 or 8 and on form - but because he’s seen as a potential flight risk. Honestly, I don’t think the ABs would really miss him if he did leave

So we are worse than Argentina. That makes me feel so comfortable.
