@NTA might be able to confirm but I think Junee came back to play club rugby after his stint with the Roosters.

I believe you're right. A few have done that for a bit of a trot with mates or an old club.

Note for those referencing "Western Sydney" - Bankwest Stadium in North Parramatta is only 7km west of ANZ as the crow flies.

ANZ is 15km west of the CBD. To the Rugby People in Sydney, both stadiums are "West". As fuck.

Helpful map of rugby in Sydney (Bankwest excluded except for 2-hour bursts a couple times a year)

We also haven't had an update on Jordan. But if he failed his HIA he won't be available for selection in this game.

Given his history they should be extra cautious. He shouldn't play again until Super Rugby

Apparently the Super season he missed wasn't concussion, but some sort of inner ear problem.

@Nepia Goodhue is slow. Put him in the centers and it will be more problematic. I just see a ceiling on this guy.

Just be thankful they don't play Rugby in Alice Springs. 😉 My temp gauge is showing 35 outside, might be time to crank the aircon soon. Fucken summer is upon us.

    Ute-mounted scrum machine FTW!

And in Darwin but only at night and only during dry season I think.

@broughie surely the AB coaches plus strength and conditioning guys do some sort of testing to see how fast players are, or do we not have that sort of testing in NZ yet?

@taniwharugby Yes I assume they do and they probably take into account the position played. However they weren’t quick on the uptake on NMS when he came back from his injury. They have their favorites just sayin.

Anyone in Sydney going along? I'm considering getting a cheap seat just for the spectacle.

Got offered 2 x freebies from work, I could even have swung you an invite given your industry, but I have prior engagement 😡

Tell me about it. Accepted invite before I knew the tix were available. Still, prior engagement is a BBQ at a rugby-mad saffas house, so there will be rugby, beer and boerwurst for Africa available. Not so bad.

    Earlier game time this weekend.

Kick off at 5pm Sydney time/7pm NZ time.

That's another thing i like about it - no late night for this old bloke 😉

But that's just after 3am in Buenos Aires...

It's ok, nobody there is fussed. It's just a friendly.

Looking at that reminds me of a couple of mates who live in the eastern suburbs that say “western Sydney, yeah Rozelle. Anything beyond that is not Sydney”

BankWest stadium is a beauty. I haven’t watched a match there yet but got a tour last year.

Yeah it looks great. A mate at work is a Parramatta fan so has been to a few games, he loves it

    My team:

    Moody/Coles/Laulala/Savea/Whitelock/Patty T/Aoane/Sotutu/Smith/Ritchie/ALB(12)/Goodhue/Clarke/Roane/Barrett (B)

    Bench Karl T/Aumua/Lomax/Vai'i/Papali'i/Weber/PUJ/Barrett (J)

Think Taylor and Cane could do with a rest. Good for Aumua to get some more minutes.

    Assuming Ofa suspended.

Like to see Akira get another start, but not too fussed if Frizell back. Blood PUJ. Or could run 6:2 split with Akira on bench, Rieko covering midfield and Jordie 14/15.

They will probably go and prove me wrong now but the Goodie/ALB 12/13 thing is locked in for a while. It is definitely a designed thing and not just a case of fitting them both in. They have two guys that can chop and change, slot in however the backline finds itself (attack or D). That is something most teams don't have, a flexible centre partnership. Of the two ALB is a little quicker on the feet and a better option is we want to skip 12. Also Goodhue is a straighter runner when required closer in.
Although Goodhue started as a 13, don't forget that ALBs best rugby was at 13 with Ngatai for the Chiefs. He is much better a little wider.

It wouldn't surprise me if Moody and Laulala return from the bench after time off, but also wouldn't surprise me if they start.Agree with @pakman on the backline except if Jordan is OK I would have him on the bench in place of PUJ.
Whitelock is also looking tired so I would be starting Cane with Ardie on bench to come in early. PT to take the captaincy if Sam has been subbed.
