Okay I've just watched skinny Ioane carry on after a try, and he's heading for the top of the list.
And he did his stupid put-down again. Did he have a bad experience actually touching the ground as a kid?
If he bombs another try because he drops it in this fashion, does he get dropped for good?
His % of stuffing up tries with that put down must be under 1% yet he gets more shit in this place than Scott of the Barretts who has basically caused us to lose two matches to the Wallabies through a red card and yellow card (and lose to England but even I don't blame him for that stupid selectorial decision).

Both the tries he's scored since he dropped that one he's still done the one-handed put-down.
Where's John Mitchell's attention to the thumb grip when we need it?!!

Yep, he’s not a quick learner on that one

Without even watching the game i blame Foster and TJP
This is actually pretty near spot on.
TJP was the worst player on the field and Foster refused to sub him for 77 minutes.
That’s why Weber made my MOTM selections. The difference in those 3 minutes was profound.
-
@ACT-Crusader I totally agree.

Just the basic halfback passing aspect would have given us a try before halftime. TJ kept going himself

Most frustrating part of the whole test for me was that passage.

Blame Brisbane. ABs are almost always shit there. They get distracted by the nice weather or something.
As mentioned, even the 88 team drew there. Grizz ordered them to all get hammered after that. Fozzie seems to have got that arse backwards and ordered them to get hammered before the game.
-
I blame all of the above.
More than that, we seemed to have no clue on attack, and very little structure in defence.
It concerns me greatly that we had no plan to combat / stem the Aus attack. Whilst Cane had been outstanding the previous weeks, I thought last night he was guilty of allowing his team to be drawn into an ugly bare-knuckled brawl with very little skill or intelligence on display. In short, the ABs went down a couple of skill levels and creativity last night, and for a large part of that second half allowed themselves to be dominated and went back into their shells remininscemt of the 2019 WC semi against England.
No, I don't like it when the ABs lose.
But I like it far less when I see no progress, learning or evolution. -
Same day travel to and from the ground does not help preparations. It is a question of mindset and regular patterns.
The red not taking control ffucked everything up, red and yellows sucked.Should have subbed off Reece and left Akira on, we needed an 8 man scrum. Reece was ineffective and Akira was one of our best. We beat the Aussies up front we should have kept it this way.
TJP needs to stop reffing the game and just do his job, too slow reminds me of Ruru. When we had the ball in hand and built around multiple phases we were awesome, our first try was brilliant.
We were relying too much on a counter attack kick chase, which the Aussies had clearly game planned for. BB did not change the game plan when it was not working, which is something the Crusaders do very well.
I would have subbed Webber in at the 50 minute mark. Giving him 4 minutes was a shit call.
The Team looked out of synch from the get go.

Yeah Australia were much better prepared as a result of travelling to the ground on the same day...oh wait.
The red not taking control ffucked everything up, red and yellows sucked
Yeah Australia were much less fucked up as a result of having a different ref...oh wait. The ref was fine, quit whining.
-
Ref for totally losing control of the game. Not simply the cards but for allowing the niggle and handing out penalties like a Real Estate Agent at a business lunch. Completely stopped the flow of the game and allowed it to devolve into a shit fight.
AB leadership for not reacting to the ref and changing team / tactics.
Cane for not taking the three just before half time
Barrett for being a big dumb bastard
Foster for poor selections and lack of tactical nous

@Bones he’s saying that Australia clearly travelled in a more ‘regularly patterned’ way to the same ground at the same time. No wonder they won.

Have to disagree with this. We had them under pressure and have shown throughout the series that we have an effective maul which they had problems defending so I can understand what Cane was thinking. Ultimately it came down to TJP taking the wrong option twice, if he didn't it would have been almost a certain 5 pointer on both occasions.
