All fine that you don’t have confidence in Foster but pumping up the Boks and Poms when they aren’t playing any test rugby and they are going through transitions themselves, is a little presumptive
I don’t think so You only have to look at last year that was not that far ago.And where SA and England can be again I don’t see we have progressed much from the end of Hansen’s area looks kind of the same to me.
I am looking forward to 2023 are you saying SA and England will be shit then not as shit as we might be if we don’t change the coach
How many tests have they won in 2020? Who are their shining lights as players in 2020?
Don’t be silly
What's being silly about that? You're the one touting imaginary teams as being top of the pile, so why don't you fill us in on how good their players are this year and their test record?
I reckon SA will be reeeeeealy dominant after not playing any test rugby for 2 years eh.
You are being silly again
I think you're right. Extremely silly to think there might be some substance behind your waffle. I should know better.
Well there you go sorted in your mind Excellent
Well if it was in my mind only, then I guess you'd back up what you're saying instead of giving lame one liners right?
I have explained myself it’s getting boring,if you don’t understand or want to that’s fine.
We move on.England wuz good last year. Is that it?
You are getting there but not quite
Right. And if they scrape past the baabaas this weekend what is last year worth? Who's in the team from last year?
Let go of the Bone you will wear yourself out.
You can't answer because you have no scooby. Fair enough, like you said it was silly to expect you to have something to back it up.
Are you still banging on about this
Let go before you wind yourself into a massive Knott it’s not good for your health.Yep. Definitely not wound. Just wondering if there's anything to base the bizarre claim on that England and SA are the teams to beat this year So far you've provided zero evidence and stupid posts claiming I'm banging on, rather than backing it up. They haven't even played and one isn't going to.
I didn’t say this year I said looking forward they will be strong again with a different defence pattern than the pathetic one the wallabies showed at Eden Park
So don’t trust we are on the right path under Foster to win another WC let’s face it who fucks us in the World Cups
Not Argentina or AussieSouth Africa x 1 (1995)
England x 1 (2019)
France x 2 (1999, 2007)
Australia x 2 (1991,2003)At least you're right about Argentina
Still over the last years we have also lost to Ireland
Struggled to beat the Lions lost a SF to England
All play differently to the Wallabies which people seem content if we beat them this year instead of growing .
We used to lead the pack and evolve the game and teams had to catch us Not anymore.we are stagnantYou were talking World Cup(s).
Happy to consider the shifted goal posts.
In general with an eye towards the next WC is were I started this conversation way back in the thread.
Certain people have focused on certain lines not the overall message. So from what I can understand, you want us to get better? It's certainly a neat concept, one hard to judge off two games. I'm pretty sure everyone else does too, but pretending the yard stick is teams that aren't even playing is just odd.
Well who is the yardstick us ? low standard then, someone must be

Better than being teams that aren't playing don't you think?
Let's say we won the RWC last year, then had only just started playing internal rugby in the past month or so and weren't even going to play internationals until next year if we're lucky. Do you think we'd be as good as when we won the RWC when we eventually make it back?
-
I think I am mostly with Bones and Booboo here in general I would say
- Fozzie is probably not most peoples first choice but he is the coach now , I think its only fair to give him a chance.
- Fat jokes are pretty old.
- Not much point in comparing ABs to SA or England when we have no clue what they will be like, better to concentrate on whats in front of us for now.
- I'll take the record so far but obviously 4 tests to go to judge the year.
- I'll take the selections so far, plenty of debate but no disasters and has blooded 5 new ABs in the first 2 games. Selections have been pretty close to what I would have selected.

This year has been a write of to be honest
So I can’t judge how we are tracking under Foster with what we are playing against.
I just want to see some improvement from the last couple of years I just see more of the same. -
If talented players break into the team that add to the depth or better yet, supersede the current players, then it isn't a write off. Clarke, Sotutu, Jordan etc. may all be long term ABs. Of course, if Bridge wasn't injured then Clarke may not have started so you can't really say Fozzie or the coaching team get points for that. Likely Sotutu will only start and Jordan play in a dead rubber or Argie game but if they do play well then I am happy. They were the form players in SR for their position and still young, at the very least if the selectors don't play musical chairs with older players then they are building something new.

That doesn't make any sense at all. If we were losing horribly would you say the same? If no new talent was being blooded would you say the same? It'll be a pretty funny stance to reflect on if Aus manage to beat those teams when they next play.

Lost to England in our biggest game in the 4 years
Lost to SA in 2018 and Ireland
And SA won the WC
again struggled against teams with decent rush defence patterns
We are not evolving as I see it
Show me where we are .not selections anyone can pick players
Looks the like we are playing the same way as the last 2 years.
So you believe other teams will just roll over because we are playing the same , you are in for a rude shock over the next 4 years. -

With little no counter attack opportunities we get strangled.
Over the past few years that's been obvious, and I've seen little (other than Cane and Patrick upping their physicality), to show that we are ready for that when we do get to play those teams. It's not like England are going to change how they play in a year.
Don't get the "but it was last year" posts.

but laying that at Foster's feet is a touch disingenuous because we've been like that for a long, long time. Slow the ball, limit turnovers, kick the ball out have been the keys to beating us for ages. We have, for a long time, played a simple game that is holding the opposition, then punishing the fuck out of errors (mainly bad kicks).
We don't pick teams apart with clever ball movement. We don't roll teams in the tight in a field position game and accumulate points. We rely on ruthlessly exploiting the opportunities that come from opposition errors, and a defensive system that keeps the opposition to 20 points or less. That's AB rugby.

yes it does. It predates Ted as well.
