Pita Alatini hasn't aged a day and looks like he could step into an AB jersey tomorrow. Troy Flavell is in fantastic nick too, especially compared to his best mate Cribb who has really gotten out of shape. In the day it'd be hard to separate those two as pure athletes but now ? absolutely no comparison. Goes to show the value of keeping functional and active.

Kees Meeuws is even more enormous as is Eroni Clarke and Piri Weepu. Loads of work for the fitness trainers for that bunch. I don't think they've missed too many feeds over the years.

The banter and laughs were top quality, some real characters and you could tell they were all thrilled to catch up with eachother again.

@MN5 you could tell he was chuffed to hear he had the metabolic age of 29! But kudos to Ted and Buck for testing as well.

Did he what ? Shocking for a guy not yet 40.

Cracked me up when he asked if the machine had been calibrated right though haha.

@Paekakboyz honestly, I think this kind of thing, where older dudes can be real about fitness and health and mental health is gold. We always see shows about the 20 somethings and bodies aren't the same after 35 in terms of bouncing back at all. Much harder to lose weight, keep the rolls off from the gut etc.

For some of them I think injuries woulda made it tough to keep fit too.

I wonder if he's still a machine in the gym? I suspect he could still throw some big weights around.

but we saw what happened to Piri when he was in the AB's, so you can only imagine what would happen when he was no longer being driven by that black jersey and paid alot of money to keep fit(ish)

I've series linked it, so will watch it in a couple of weeks.

That was pretty entertaining and interesting. Bit of a shock for some of those guys when they did the metabolic ages.

Eroni Clarke is 7 years older than Sir Ted, I think.

    Some pretty funny stuff too.

Hey Ted, you'll be able to tell Raewyn she's sleeping with a younger man.

Ted: She won't believe this rubbish!

I think prop forwards always retain a certain amount of muscle strength. I think there is an intrinsic strength to these guys that never leaves. When was the last time you saw a former front rower whose now rather svelte?

Did he what ? Shocking for a guy not yet 40.

Cracked me up when he asked if the machine had been calibrated right though haha.

Weepu looked like he didn't move from the couch after the 2011 final. Such a shame because he could have been one of the greats if he could have stayed away from the bakery.

Second best on the list of halfback/first-fives isn't bad for a league kid from Wainui!
