    Julian Savea (Oriental-Rongotai) at 12

Interesting, maybe without his pace he may be quite effective at 12.

@Machpants was he any good there? Unless he has a mind blowing NPC I don't really see the upside of bringing back a player that was on the downward slope three years ago. Hope he proves everyone wrong though because he deserves a sweet ending to his career.

@Canes4life Wasn't about a million bucks a year salary up in France a sweet enough end to his career?

@Canes4life he was fairly average in the highlights I saw then again going from playing on the wing into 12 is abit of a difference the switch from wing to 13 would’ve been easier but they had Fekitoa for the first season.

@Stargazer either or. Looks like Aumua won't be going anywhere any time soon. Seems pretty happy playing his career out in Wellington.

@Stargazer I see Tiatia is playing 13. Interestingly in the opposing midfield is another Proctor!

@Stargazer another one from their Insta account.

The Canes recently had a regional development day where they invited all the academy players from the three main Hurricanes regions.

If you can get in there it would be great to know who the HB players are within the video.

The players from Wellington that I recognise from the Academy are: Taine Plumtree, Hugo Plummer, Ruben Love, Aiden Morgan, Kaliopasi Uluilakepa, Tyrone Thompson, Caleb Delany, Josh Southall, Keinan Higgins, Isaac Bracewell and a few others that I don't recognise.

He mostly played midfield in France.

@Canes4life I see Jordan Thompson-Dunn, Patrick Teddy, Tiaki Fabish, Josh Gimblett, Joeli Rauca, Emil Crichton, Latrell Smiler-Ah Kiong (not entirely sure it's him, but I'd expect him to be there), Luke Russell? Damarus Hokianga? He seems a bit young at 16, but I'm quite sure Cooper Flanders is also in that group. Several other faces I recognise, but I can't put a name to them.

Manawatu: Julian Goerke (former Hastings Boys)

@Canes4life Yes, they are. Fabish captained the NZ Maori U18, last year but is already in his second year out of school.
