They didnt issue an apology to Benjamin Fall when they threw Gardner under the bus did they? Given that, on the surface to wipe out a Red Card, was supposedly a huge ref blunder....

I don't think so - sets a precedent. The ABs got an apology for the TMO not following protocol in the game below but that was a unique situation (hometown TMO).

I recall some sort of admission one time after Wyatt Crockett was incorrectly penalised a number of times v Italy when Castrogiovanni looked a million lira but was the transgressor

@rotated apologising for a ref not following protocol wasnt it , given IIRC the decision was correct, just how they got there was against the TMO protocols?
