Can only think Poite thought the Orish player lost his footing. Bizarrely inconsistent not to have the TMO look at it.

Flat, low energy performance from Ireland. Almost like they weren't quite prepared for this game.

England have been competent and workmanlike and that's been more than enough against a poor Ireland today.

Bono's visit had an amazing impact on Ireland. After that Ben Youngs kick ahead (0:13), Jonny Sexton still hasn't found what he was looking for......

For the Irish team it was a Sunday, bloody Sunday.

All in all a bit meh for me. With the platform our front five were providing I’d have liked to see a bit more dominance and real incision. I reckon Wales will look at that game and fancy their chances if they get anywhere near parity up front.

So. What about Eddie’s contentious selections? Well Lawes gave a MOTM performance, doing all the second row things very well. Joseph spent as much time in the midfield as he did on the wing and Curry was a little anonymous.

I’d call that another failed experiment. Or rather the same failed experiment.
