95% of my music listening is from my own collection. I've never listened to a top 40 commercial radio station and the only time I hear that stuff is in a shop or while on hold on the phone. 😠

@NTA I listen to Classic Rock or Rock Workout on iHeart, are American channels, but the talking is minimal, especially during the week, some ads from time to time, but largely good...when I am at home I downvote any songs I dont like and upvote ones I do as it is supposed to learn and put more of what I like.

Internet radio stations are way better. Lack of ads, usually no group of three twats laughing at each others jokes, and you get to choose the genre.

I will often have either 'The Face' Radio from New York or 'Totally Wired Radio' from London streaming in the background.

Back on Aging: someone mentined having to get up to pee in the middle of the night. I now try to avoid any form of caffeine after 3PM and even stop water and other fluids after dinner. But at 4AM I'm still getting a kick from the bladder?

Think I need to exercise more. In my 30s when I got fit, I don't remember having any issues sleeping through the night.

Guys. Prostate check. Get it done. No joke, just get it done.

According to an expert in the field, if a doctor can diagnose a potential issue by shoving a finger or two up your arse, it's too late. They've developed a procedure to target spots on the prostate highlighted by MRI because even a normal biopsy may not identify a problem.

Running is a lot harder I've found, even with the migraine-related issues I have on aerobic exercise these days. Fucking cholesterol meds are shit. My cardiologist is no fun - wants me on aspirin and statins the rest of my life because my old man carked it of heart disease*, but won't give me Cialis!

*Even after I mentioned he was a 2-pack a day smoker and ate his own weight in red meat regularly.

Tried a plant based diet for a month or two to see how it impacts your cholesterol levels? All the men in my family have died of heart disease, diabetes etc. We used to keep the fat from the frying pan to add to our meals 🙂 I am plant based and have very low Cholesterol levels now.

@chimoaus My bacon starts life as leaves, roots, fruits, and flowers... Does that count as plant based?

It has been a while since I had an old dude inside me. 🤔

Because proctology seems to only attract old dudes in these parts.
