RWC: Wales v France (QF 3)
-
This QF is on Sunday, 20 October 2019 in Oita. Kick-off 8.15pm NZT (4.15pm local time).
-
No injuries, no cards from the Uruguay match.
We know our A team.
We can go in to the France match confident of reaching the SF.

The big problem for Wales is the French have sacked their coach.

Yes but Jonathan Davies was injured vs Georgia. Will he recover for the QF ? Without him, the Welsh backline is meh ...

True
Fingers crossed.
Same too for Biggar

Can't see anything but a comfortable waltz to the semis for the Welsh. France barely scraping past a poor Argentina and Tonga and would have been hammered by the English pack. Definitely the easiest QF they could have wished for.

We felt the same before a certain match in Cardiff in October 2007. The form book goes out the window when you play the French in RWC knockouts. Take nothing for granted.

They aren't our nemesis though.
But yes, foot on throat early and wait for the white flag.

I’d say Biggar is an important piece to Wales winning any knock out match.
Shut down the French midfield and Wales will win. The pattern of the French attack seems to be built around them.

Yeah. If you're 14 points up just after half time you'll be fine ...
-
Can't see France getting up for this. Unfinished business for Wales from 2011. Any players here from that game? From memory Halfpenny had a kick to win it, any others? They'll be chomping-at-the-bit for this.

The battle of the quiet achievers at this world cup. One of these buggers is gonna be one game from the final with next to no fanfare! Sneaky sneaky.

If history is anything to go by France advance.
I’m fairly certain that France have only been knocked out at the QF stage once and that was 2015 by the ABs.

This has every chance of being the match of the round.
It also gives Wales a chance to prove to it's doubters (me me me) that they ARE the real deal.
62-13 is the precedent chaps.

That world cup existed, that was the time when young Nepia realised that god doesn't exist, because there was no way he wouldn't let MJ play in the semi final if he did.

France looked bloody dangerous in the first half vs Argentina - cutting them to pieces - and pretty awful afterwards.
Bloody French. Not to be trusted!
