So, with the team named, what are we expecting with the replacements plan? Assuming no injuries and a close game, what would Hansons ideal plan be?
- Taylor for Coles at 60mins
- Props🤷♂️
- Tui for Barrett after 50
- Frizell only if necessary
- TJ at 65
- SBW after 60 for Crotty
- Then the interesting one is BS. Does he go to FB and BB to Wing? Seems a waste of BB. But bringing BS onto the wing for 20 seems a bit pointless unless SR or GB is having a shocker. Or do they move RM to wing and BB to 10 to accommodate BS at 15? Or is BS really only seen as cover rather than impact in this side?

Good point. Bender for Reece is losing X factor, but gaining aerially.
If Bridge hurt who goes to 11?

@voodoo Beauden Barrett going to wing isn’t a waste and is not unprecedented. But I think Ben is insurance but will provide good spark for 15-20.

I guess Ioane’s mistake was having only a minor injury and coming back too quickly. Should have taken half the season (or most of the last year) off and gone straight in the 23 like Crotty and SBW.
Much would have preferred our strongest midfield of ALB-Goodhue.

DMac's introduction was the start of the dual playmaker gameplan so I think they would have persevered with that combo. Hansen confirmed last night on Getting Grilled with Marshy that they had to reassess the selections once he was injured. DMac was also their 3rd halfback cover for the RWC.

I am really not sure about that. I think for all the talk about dual playmakers bottom line is when Beaudan is at 10 backs are static and his tactical kicking is not that great. However he is our best open field player and from the back he has to be one of the first names on the team sheet. Mounga is a better option than both DMac and BB at 10. Not sure that DMac cracks the 23 if fit but I think he would be in the squad before either Jordie or Reiko.

Franks, Fifita and Papalii - not in RWC squad
BBBR, Todd, Ioane and Goodhue - not selected in this game.5 players will start in both games while the others either go from starters to reserves, or vice versa (16 in total).
