For the Ganguly fans.
Fried bum face.
(That's awesome. Love Smithy's passion. Is that Ganguly next to him? Not even going to think about talking.

Good to see Indian fans taking it on the chin. And the cheek. And the forehead.
But the bowlers did well.
I was woken up around midnight by an Australian friend texting me to watch the game. At first I thought something bad had happened because no one calls you in the middle of the night unless its bad, but it was around the moment Guptill got MS Dohni out. Watched the BCs win and then had to play Red Dead Redemption 2 afterwards just to try to calm down and get back to sleep. Crazy night.

One thing has been apparent from day 1 of the CWC - the indian comms on both TV and Radio with the notable exception of the ultimate pro: Harsha Bhogle, have been absolutely atrocious - all the feedback i';m seeing from the UK cricketing cognoscenti has been freaking scathing but for Mantis there has been nothing but praise. I swear Vic marks was almost tearing up when Mantis was speaking about the win.

Oh fuck it. This has weirdly made me want Australia to win their semi coz I reckon the Poms will support us.

Ohhh if we do play Oz in the final what are the chances he commentates with Slats??
Would be funnier if we're playing England in teh final and he commentates with Slats
Oh ho ho ho, here we go

Only watched the highlights. But seemed good that the NZ team seemed calm after the win. From the decisive moment of the run out of Dhoni - it still took mopping up the still to come 3 trailenders and even ending on anti-climactic umpire review. Kane looked like steel at the end.
No premature blowing of the load like 2015.
Sorry, but I'm not impressed at Jerry getting tearful at a semi win. We've gone no further than last time yet.

@Rapido you curmudgeonly old bastard. Making back to back WC finals is a hell of an achievement for us, especially given our form leading in. It must be such a great feeling for our past players to see how well we're going in the modern professional game.

It doesn't matter if people are supposed to be impressed or not, people are impressed enough to retweet etc. Every contact with this and the team brings them a step closer to flopping in the final.
I like Coney, he's my favourite commentator around. I suspect, as he cracked upon saying; "the people back home ..", that he was probably thinking of a particular person in a particular circumstance that triggered him. I don't now his personal circumstances.
Mistakes can happen in live broadcasting. But the gushing re-tweets of what people think is a man crying over a sporting result will reach the team via their devices.
This semi-final win is not fitting of that reaction. Last time in 2015 was understandable, this time it's a bit stupid.
Hopefully the last 10 balls wind down is enough to get them back into a professional headspace.
Hopefully the last 10 bals

I loved 2015, but that was at home on our ground against the perennial underachievers at CWCâs.
This time round, other than Afghanistan we were the only other side that lost their last 3 round robin games. Debates ensued about whether or not we should be there at all given we lost to Pakistan etc etc.
So unlike 2015 when we were playing well and going into the semi with confidence and form, we were almost the opposite. So we cobbled together 239 after the drama of rain and coming back the next morning.
Rohit, Kohli and co all in good form. What could possibly go wrong for India. Little olâ NZ with one of their great fast bowlers in Boult and letâs face it a few other inconsistent âgood on their day, pies the restâ bowlers to take on batsmen that eat half centuries for breakfast.
I didnât tear up but I shouted and probably woke up people in the hotel I was in, so I do agree that Coney was probably thinking about a person or people for him to do that, but I donât underestimate the emotion of a backs against the wall, nobody expected us, drama packed, semi-final win.
Bring on Sunday

Both finalists have lost the same number of group games.. 3
What about the quality of opposition they lost to?
