"The team that defended the best tonight won, and that was Jaguares. I thought their defense was outstanding. We made more mistakes, and it was due to that pressure."
"They attacked the breakdown very well, we struggled to get any quick ball, and because of that their defense was set and they just kept coming at us."
"They thoroughly deserved the win, they came here to play. The style of rugby they played tonight I think it will bode very well for them, hopefully for the next 2 weeks."

People could learn something about humility and sportsmanship from young Sammie.

@Jaguares4real Salty? Did you and c4l go to the same school? Pretty odd you think I'm upset....only thing that is slightly perturbing is I used to love following the hags, now we get one of their "supporters" on and it has kinda ruined it, at least the team seem humble and not braggadocious and deluded.
It was certainly an ugly win, at home and scraping past a team that supposedly shouldn't have even bothered turning up. Good luck beating the Brumbies....
I see you liked Jaguares when they were crap at winning games but were entertaining in throwing the ball around, offloading at will
& playing from anywhereYes I did, what's the issue with that? Should we only like teams if they win? Proving your class again.
Jaguares are NOT the Sunwolves who are mere cannon fodder full of 2nd rate Kiwis AUS Saffa & PI players becoming "Japanese"
Genius, I'm sure so many thought they were the sunwolves, thanks for pointing that out. I'm sure the "Japanese" appreciate it.
I sincerely apologise for Jaguares for being successful and celebrating it
I sincerely apologise for Jaguares honouring SANZAAR T & C;s & repatriating their players at great expense unlike a disgusting Barbarians side based in Singapore/Japan
I sincerely apologise for Jaguares providing best atmosphere of any Super Rugby ground
What?
And @SammyC i highly doubt it's j4l's first time here...bit weird we're not allowed to respond to trolling though, what was the correct response sorry?

Lol, I never said donβt respond to him, or at least I didnβt mean that. The entertaining part is the debate.
Just dont call him a retard, or suggest heβs not a real fan because heβd never heard of a kiwi sports forum until recently.

Yep debate is entertaining, not dicks who troll with stuff like how they've "triggered" people, decide Chiefs fans are making excuses when fans of another team query something, decide what other people like and dislike and make grandiose or bullshit statements then go on about how they're joking or winding people up.

Shame you werent around supporting the Jags when they were struggling and have only jumped on here in the last month to peddle your wares as they were playing well...true fan here.
edit: ok so questioning him being a true fan was a bit off, more that we have had so many trolls pop in when thier team is doing well (or post AB losses) only for most to slither away when thier team loses...hopefully this cat aint one of them, as it is good for a variety of posters
@SammyC I did edit my post later re him being a real fan.

s
I disagree with your POV re level of Jaguares performance
They've played better vs Canes Sharks twice Waratahs Sunwolves
With ball in hand Jaguares were average
WITHOUT the ball Jaguares were phenomenal
Here I;d agree with & state that was their best performance of the season Chiefs only scored 1 try in the game and that was in dubious circumstances
This was well below their average of 4 tries per game (63 total)
Jaguares were belting dudes in defence They had an ability to step up their intensity to a level the Chiefs could not handle No shame in that for the Chiefs
I've got a thick skin I can take it as much as I can give it
But I'm on a Kiwi forum so when it comes to arrogance in rugby I'd though I go native: You know when in Rome.........
What an outstanding post, every word an insightful gem. . .

I knew we would get this stage with the Phil Kearns narrative coming from a Kiwi poster
It's a sign of Jaguares success rattling some cages & potential of a Frankenstein monster emerging & becoming a potential powerhouse in Super Rugby
Real Reason why Kearns was such a was that Jaguares dusted up his beloved Waratahs team +
Jaguares in their last 24 regular season games have beaten
Sharks three times Bulls three times Stormers twice
Blues twice Hurricanes Chiefs
Brumbies twice Rebels Waratahs Reds Sunwolves
I mean that's only a 75% winning record
Only Hurricanes & Crusaders have won more than the 20 victories the Jaguares have collected in last 2 season (32 matches)
These are spectacular numbers

No BS
It's also an indicator that just using how many players have been capped internationally is a TERRIBLE metric to use to indicate quality of players
Especially with smaller nations like Argentina & Scotland who combined have 3 professional sides
Hence they'll have a higher % of players who've played for Scotland or Argentina as they have a smaller player pool to choose from
Finally Argentina have a 2nd team called Argentina XV
They played in a tournament in Uruguay this month - conceded 48 points in losing to Russia and got dusted up by Uruguay
These games were International test matches btw so players would've been capped
Finally bear in Mind Argentina were playing Int'l rugby regularly in the Rugby Championship FOUR years before they starting playing Super Rugby
Plus the game over there is entirely amateur - No Mitre 10, Currie Cup, Shute Shueld/NRC
Hence their U20 side Pumitas are a big development tool for ARG rugby and that's been going very well recently
Number of players have graduated from U20 to Jaguares in last 2 years
and this will increase over next 2 yearsPlus there'll be a Pampas XV playing Currie Cup every year starting in July
-
Riiiiight so you're stretching a bit there.

Im still struggling to see what the fuck your point is.
The jags won lots of games this season? No shit, that is how they won their conference. Is someone claiming they didnβt win these games?
You are deluded if you think your team is unbeatable on any given day. The 75% win percentage kind of proves that.
Your claim about them rattling cages and being a super rugby powerhouse is laughable. They might even win the comp this year and it would still be laughable.
