would be funny if AB's took them on at their own game. No frills or cross kicks, just kicked it to the corners, play it tight, smash their forwards with scrum after scrum, knacker them, bang over a few penalties, forwards rumble over for one try, NZ win 19-0. Ok, we've beaten you at your own game, so what's your plan B for RWC next year?

Wow I like the sound of that! Bring it on...

I really hope we aren’t having threads about French refs this time next week.

@crucial it'd be nice to not be talking abouta French ref at all this time next week, alas incompetence and deals mean probability of this is not high.

    @billy-tell
Things have improved on the reffing front.

I remember one Test in Argentina (Tana was captain, IIRC) where the reffing was utterly bizarre and baffling to both sides. Truly weird. Whitehouse I think it was.

Then there was Ed Morrison, who in his last Test, stood idly by while a Welsh forward leisurely kicked McCaw.

The last two posts are doing a good job of eroding my confidence

I think a close, hard game will be what Hansen is looking for. Nothing gained from walloping England - much better to get some experience of grinding out wins to prepare for RWC2019

    Fuck that. Wallop them.

It is their B-side after all 😉

    Officials:

    Referee: Jérôme Garcès (France)
Assistant 1: Jaco Peyper (South Africa)
    Assistant 2: Marius Mitrea (Italy)
    TMO: Marius Jonker (South Africa)

Oh good. Should be fairly consistent and logical officiating then

Hope we give them a farken pasting!

This game always makes me a bit nervous and to be frank its been a long time coming. After a season long of slagging from my UK relatives I've already begin to receive a few msgs from them over weekend about how poor they (the poms) are looking and that we should win comfortably. Yep that old approach.

And I hope we bloody do.

The citing officiers have elected not to look into the Owen Farrell tackle so he is free to paly against the ABs:

@jk that is the good thing that we dont play England often, even with thier form and injuries, makes them an unknown quantity.

You sound like my Welsh mate Emyr.

Quite convinced he regards the All Blacks as some sort of surrogate Welsh Rugby Team..

So a repeat of the 2014 game.

In that game it was impact off the bench from the likes of Faumuina and Tuipulotu in wet conditions that proved to be the difference. This time around the AB scrum won't be weakened when subs are made.

We don't often smash England at Twickenham.

In recent times, we usually get at least one yellow card!

I think we will be up for this game - I think they will be as well!

@chris-b Yup but England really should have been beaten at the weekend as the Springboks lineout fell apart for some reason.

@drivingmaul Similar story to us at Loftus. 🙂

I think we'll win, but I'll be surprised if it's by more than 10 unless cards play a role.

I think i speak for the whole rugby world when i say i am so sick of England getting a free ride from both the officials and citing officers...

(i agree with this citing decision)
