@mimic we should have won this easily, as good as they were...

    Eh no.

    Eh yes

You’re dreaming if you think that NZ should have won the game easily.

@rocky-rockbottom It happens. Yeah Barrett's goalkicking and not attempting a droppie was awful and you'll get the usual people screaming Mo'unga's name for the next while, but I think everyone needs to calm down a bit. It's not the end of the world and we can take plenty of learnings from this test and not be so complacent next time. We don't take losing well that's for sure. Well done SA great to see them give it to us it'll be a great test in Pretoria.

Last year with the Poite/Garces deal I was so disappointed to not find out how Beauden would go kicking a clutch goal on an off night.

I'm as disappointed here, with them not setting for a drop goal. We need to find this stuff out.

If we go all the way to a final, history shows DGs win you 1 or a couple of those knockout games.

Whatever are we prepping for? The EOYT Barbarians fixture?

    One dimensional kids.

The only positive from Crotty was that he didn't go off injured

Judging on tonight's game I would count that as a negative 😉
ALB & Goodhue worked a lot better

Yeah, but from his perspective it's a significant improvement not going off in the first 10 minutes :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:

Yeah absolutely re Goodhue. He adds the punch that ALB just can't from centre (I think ALB is a 12 all day). Crotty was ok. ALB was persona non grata.

I think ALB was better than Crotty (who offered nothing IMO), just overshadowed his decent game with that silly and unnecessary intercept to that dwarf

That was the only ALB carry I can remember. Did he do ANYTHING else!!!???

Two intercepts and so many missed conversions. Not dreaming at all.

Congrats to the Boks, not many teams score that many points vs the ABs. Whilst we gifted them tries they still had players in positions to take advantage. ABs could have easily won but Boks D at death was up to the challenge.

I don’t mind this loss, I think this loss will help the coaches more than if we had won 57-0. I think it shows just how good Goodhue is and shows J Barret May not be good enough to push B Smith to the wing.

I look forward to the return match.

@derm-mccrum how they dominates the game should've easily won by way more than 10 points. The Boks should've have more yellows for persistent infringing. If it was the ABs getting away with so many conspiracies would've been abound about refs helping them

The All Blacks were clearly not there mentally. Pretty much like Chicago. Clearly Hansen is playing games with everyone

I watched him kick the ball between the posts.

Probably because a Mo'unga-BB 10 - 15 combo could have worked better than the BB-JB combo?

I'd never have started Mo'unga in this game but I'd have preferred him on the bench so that BB could drop back to 15 in the second half and RM could play at first five-eighth.

BB is way, WAY too erratic with his goalkicking for an international 1st 5. And that has to be concerning for the coaches, because if someone else has to do it, backline reshuffle.

Would Mo’unga have taken over the kicking? DMac and JB are better kickers than BB, and even with BB having a particularly bad night with the boot Read didn’t give the ball to anyone else.

That was the most inexplicable thing to me, where was the captaincy to adjust when something was going wrong?

persistent infringing is such a bullshit reason to bray for cards.

Those consecutive penalties include the bok dominant scrum penalty that went against them , and Snyman stuffing up an attempted turnover.

I hate it regardless of the team. Consecutive/persistent penalties include refereeing mistakes or sometimes just bad luck.
