RE: Things that annoy you about rugby...
Players being allowed to roll when on the ground, preventing the player on his feet from playing the ball. Should be a penalty like it always used to be. but now you can roll, crawl and whatever you please and its play on. Here I thought rugby is a game played on your feet

RE: AB's v Wales
@westcoastie Really if you can't see how negatively Barrett is effecting the attack then you need glasses. He is flatfooted when he receives and puts those outside him under pressure when he passes, which is mostly loopy slow passes

RE: Sharks vs Blues
This ref is so crap just another example of shit reffing all around. The last try. How is that not a penalty at the scrum. The blues put in a shunt sharks move backwards and the collapse the scrum. Yet it's okay on. Utter shit. And the tmo call after the sharks made two clean breaks where number 2 held back defenders creating the gaps is just grating. I mean why bother. Just give the home team the points and don't play the game

RE: TRC: The All Blacks against the Springboks (version 98)
Can World Rugby just sort out the refereeing. It's fucken abysmal. This game just showed it. How number 19 stayed on the field let alone not being penalised requires serious question. I mean what he did was far worse then Toupou last week. It's like they are agreeing that the broadcaster controls the TMO

RE: Chiefs v Blues
@Bones it wasn't on the checklist for the tournament. The problem with reffing theses days

RE: England v South Africa
I don't understand the fuss about the tackle, so he led with the shoulder, but trying to make a dominant tackle you have to lead with the shoulder otherwise you'll break you arm. No way is it a shoulder charge. Seemingly the problem is not the tackle, but how messed up refereeing has become. Nowadays hard tackle on the chest is yellow cards

RE: Lions v Hurricanes (SF)
This competition can really get fucked. 1st it's the stupid conference system then they have home town refs with hometown TV producers wanting to also win it for the home team. How the fuck can there only by one camera angle for the disputed try, yet immediately after the try is given they show a reply from a side angle, which the referee wanted.

RE: Bulls v Highlanders
@Tordah said in Bulls v Highlanders:
Referee has been the best on the park
for real
He managed to make a sh1t game even worse with his bullsh1t calls

RE: Wales v Australia
@nta the Welsh guy couldn't even believe it. That says it all. He's probably still shaking his head in disbelief
-
RE: Wales v Australia
@bones clearly nobody is caring about the fact that it was a head on head collision. I mean what are we saying if there's another head on head it's yellow for the tackler if there's no damage done
-
RE: Wales v Australia
@bones so the guy gets a red card for bad tackle technique. I mean it was head on head

RE: England vs Springbokke
How the hell did Frans Steyn stay on the field after trying to knee a player on the ground. I mean his only saving was missing the head, which would've been red and a lengthy ban,but surely should've gotten 10 minutes for that flying knee

RE: 2021 British & Irish Lions tour to SA
@rebound And can we even try to hope that World Rugby will increase the ban should the appeal fail, as they do (in their rules or is that just a SANZAAR thing) with player disciplinary hearings

RE: 2021 British & Irish Lions tour to SA
@stodders "Balanced" is you call Boks are the greatest ever and any call going against them is bad refereeing balanced. Then yep very balanced. Thats the sum of his articles I come accross

RE: Wallabies v Springboks II
@kiwiinmelb my tipping was Aus by 8. I think I underestimated how shit the Boks are

RE: Wallabies v Springboks II
@nta he was already anticipating the bleeding coming from the Bok management. So rather left that to the citing commissioner
