23 Juan Cruz MalliaCompared to the XV who played against New Zealand last Saturday, there will be three changes. In the forwards, Santiago Medrano comes in for García Botta and Pablo Matera returns to the starting line-up to replace Tomas Lezana. After being rested last weekend, Gonzalo Bertranou returns to wear the number 9 jersey and Martín Landajo moves to the bench. The backs remain unchanged, both the starters and the substitutes. Notable among the substitutes is the return of Juan Manuel Leguizamón to the squad. The last time he was in the matchday 23 was in the game against Ireland, played on November 25 last year in the international window, when he came on in the second half and scored a try.

18 Taniela Tupou (5 Tests)
19 Adam Coleman (25 Tests)
20 Pete Samu (6 Tests)
21 Nick Phipps (66 Tests)
22 Bernard Foley (61 Tests)
23 Jack Maddocks (3 Tests)IN: David Pocock, Israel Folau, Adam Coleman, Nick Phipps, Sekope Kepu
OUT: Tom Robertson, Rob Simmons, Tom Banks, Joe Powell, Ned Hanigan.
Folau has started 61 straight Tests at fullback and Cheika has repeatedly stated in past years he regards the Waratahs star as too valuable a commodity at fullback to shift him to centre or wing. No longer. With his replacement Dane Haylett-Petty among the best Wallabies' performers for the last two Tests, Folau will play on the wing for the first since the Wellington Bledisloe in August 2013. The move comes just one week after Cheika handed the keys to the Wallabies attack over to Kurtley Beale and Matt Toomua and relegated Bernard Foley to the bench.
Pocock's inclusion is the other change to the starting XV, pushing Pete Samu back to the bench and Ned Hanigan out of the 23. There are three other personnel changes to the 23 which faced South Africa. After making a mad dash back to Melbourne on Saturday to be with his wife for the birth of his first child Adam Coleman will come off the bench, pushing Rob Simmons out of the squad. Nick Phipps also returns from a rib injury suffered in the Shute Shield final. Sekope Kepu will make his 97th Test appearance from the bench and he will serve as loosehead cover should Scott Sio suffer an injury as Taniela Tupou is the only other prop named on the pine. Tupou is a specialist tighthead, leaving Kepu as Cheika's only option at No. 1.

Cheika has seen the light.

Michael Hooper out of tomorrow’s match vs Pumas with hammy injury. Pete Samu goes to No.8 and Pocock to captain and play No.7
Better balanced loose forward trio IMO, be interesting to see how they go.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. I really enjoyed watching Argentina last week and love the speed and skill of their backs. Australia fielding a pretty experienced side which must be close to their best?
Got to be better than last week's AUS SA game. Was turgid -- gave up after 15 minutes
-
Two weeks in a row Cheika has been forced to play only one no.7 but you know he wants both Hooper and Pocock in the team. It seems common sense doesn't matter to him.
Let's hope that Arg don't bottle it as they never seem to play as well against Aust as they do against NZ.
-
@bovidae with Folou to the wing and only one of Pocock or Hooper playing (and in the right place at 7) they look much better balanced.
Yeah be good for the Argies to start fulfilling the promise they show for long periods against us, against other 'top' teams too.
-
Back row, 10/12 and back 3 look about the best balanced I’ve seen from Cheika.
Add to that the United Pacific Nations of Australia starting and bench front rows, two big locks - and this looks a decent side.
Argies by 4
-
Pity about Hooper. I prefer him to Pocock. Better all round.
Still better balanced in backrow as mentioned.
Oz by 4-8

@sapetyvi and the Argies seem to go big against the Boks and ABs the first three rounds, then fall on a heap against us.
The scheduling needs a shake up
Yep. They've usually well and truly blown their load by this stage. Aus comfortably.

To me Pocock is better in tight and in turnovers, and gets himself involved more, but is slower than me and I'm in my 50s! Hooper on the other hand is fast, and can hurt you from broken play. As always, all about getting the balance right.

I reckon the Argies have the firepower out wide to take this and as long as the forwards don't crumble have a great chance against what is hardly a Wallaby backline for the ages.
Watching Ozzies cry always brings a lump to the throat.
