@jegga lucky we never had a player they specifically targeted, with more deliberately dirty tactics!

TBH, that was one of the niggliest games I have seen from Pocock

@taniwharugby Tui bumped off quite a few, not just Ardie and I am not a Savea apologist.

@booboo in one ruck Owen got away with holding him around the neck as Squire was providing the grunt to shift Pocock. Barnes was right there and I was sure he was going to blow it up. But then he obviously saw it was Pocock and let it go 🙂

@broughie oh I know, Tui looked good when he came on, a real menace with the ball, bar that, was one of Ardie's better games in some time.

@jegga yeah the only thing that saved him was that big push by Squire. I don't think Owen was applying much force, and Pocock's whole body went in one go, rather than clearly being dragged by the head. Still not good though, anytime you are holding on to the neck you are just asking for a penalty... or worse!

@paekakboyz were you playing for Kapiti college when Nick Belton got carted off in the Westpac rescue chopper after doing in his neck? If you thought would stop him from playing hall rugby at his flat in Aro valley and almost repeating that you’d be wrong .

I don't really see the big problem. The specialist 12 starts at 12 whilst the very effective bench player who covers 12-13 is on the bench covering 12 and 13?

In modern rugby the bench is very important and ALB made a very strong case last weekend that he is perfectly suited to the 23 shirt for the big AB games moving forward.

With SBW due back next game the pressure is on Laumape to perform. And if he does, the pressure will be on SBW.

Laumape went ok on the weekend, but ALB was outstanding for 68 minutes at 12 the previous week. Coming on for 68 minutes and playing well hardly screams "put me on the fucking bench", does it?

He did, but only put in some big runs at the end. Turned to the aussies in front and asked where the fuck that had been for the previous 78 minutes 🙂

I’d suggest carrying the weight of the world around us probably more responsible for his aches and pains

    Stuff

This happens to pretty much every player reaching in to steal the ball. It happens to Pocock all the time because that's all he farking does. It's quite indicative of the type of player he is that he stands out every time we pump them. In other words when getting hammered he's good at getting his team a little less hammered. Awesome, he made 5 turnovers in a 40 point loss! God forbid he actually make an effective hit up and do something with the ball. Or win a line out.

@jegga I was playing (must have been 15 or so) at Ti Atiawa park when a game on another field (younger kids from memory) was stopped and the copter came in. We had to move fields and I don't know if I ever found out who the kid was. We'd heard it happened in a ruck and the kid got pinned and twisted or something, we thought it was a back injury I think.

Far out, that was well back in the day!

Where did you see his stats? I saw he’d made a pitiful amount of ground at one stage then he made a run a few minutes later but it was all sideways.

He made a decent run early in Bled1 which was probably more metres than he'll run for the entire RC.

Yeah recall seeing late in the game that he had made 4 runs for a grand total of 5 meters. I make it further when I roll out of bed in the weekend.
Turnovers were only 2 as well

Best player in the world! He's ineffective at every aspect of the game other than turnovers and he doesn't get enough of those in a manner that his team can really benefit from. How many of his turnovers immediately lead to a counter attack?

He's just as dirty and niggly as other players, and whinges to the ref. On more than one occasion I've seen Hooper tell him to shut up.

Whenever I meet someone who proclaims him to be the best player in the world, or would walk into the All Blacks, I immediately recognise the person I'm talking to knows nothing about rugby.
