All Blacks v France Test 3

Great first half from both sides before the inevitable.
DMac would walk into most sides either at 10 or 15

He's not a ”walk into” kinda guy.
He might run side to side around the offer, then maybe zigzag into the side. -
Also excellent 'Cockwomble' sign in the crowd

Over the next 12 mons Retallick, Whitelock will be locks with S Barrett at 6.
Barrett is revolutinising the one out quick pass and offloads, creating gaps, as well as providing the hard edge required.
Showing McCawesque mental strength, awesome. For the past few years Todd has had a raw deal, Cane and Todd are way better than anyone else in NZ and Todd is the best at the breakdown
-
Did remind me though. Is Franks that bad at taking the ball up that they have just given up on working with him? He's dropping to the floor at the slightest hint of a tackle and never attempts any kind of leg drive. Surely the coaches can improve that easily?

If we had a really good promising young 6 , and and an 8 in the system
I would feel more secure that it’s all falling into place
-
I’m not suggesting dmac replace beaudy, far from it ,
But it is worth noting he gave our backline a different shape last night

I’m sure the coaches will be tweaking his flat passing by just a smidge. I’m sure it’s how the want him to play but he just pushes it too close to disaster. A bit like Cooper used to for the Wallabies. DMac is just lucky that we are often able to regroup better than some teams.
His decision making was very good and his kicking from hand and tee excellent. -

@kirwan Ah, bringing back the Lions game again. Let me bring back Dmac's nightmare in the Maori ABs game against the Lions then.
Mo'unga didn't play behind that pack in the Lions game btw. Most of them were in the AB squad.
I thought the Crusaders and Blues were the 2 SR teams who got to play their full strength teams v the BILs?

Commentary Highlight of the night
Marshy - "What a great start from Richie Mo'unga, he's nailed that a good 45 metres, with no real angle, All Black number 1167"
Nisbo - "do you remember your number?"
Marshy "I do"
Nisbo "Go on"
Marshy - "Yes I do, number nine hundred and forty (pause) TWO.
He is in fact number 948

Where to start....
As expected social media going off with bias calls to refs should use common sense and ignore the rules.

Tuppence worth first before reading the thread.
I preface this by saying memory may have been slightly impaired but ...
Good performance.
Difficult to pick on anyone but I'm sure Dmac will be as he is held to a different standard. As is SBW.
Dmac however I thought was excellent.
Those two my first picks for MOTM. Scott Barrett my 3rd although my abiding memory of him was that first pass ... ! After that though he seemed busy and physical.
Good to have a home town TV producer not show side on replay if Dmac's pass to Ioane.
I suppose that makes up for George overruling the on field ref who I'm pretty certain said he had a clear on field grounding. Fuck off George.
Marshall. Fuck he annoys me. What law did he want to invoke when the ref got in the way? It was unfortunate for the Frogs but it was just rugby. Stop fucking inventing stuff.
Re the noobs:
Goodhue looks the goods.
Frizell not out of place
Mo'unga ok
Coltman > HarrisBack to Dmac for a sec. It occurred to me that although Mo'unga is probably a better out and out 1st 5/8 Dmac is probably a closer like for like replacement for BB.
Will now read the thread and see how wrong I am.

That's pretty bad luck, was a good kick that found space.
Yeah but Dmac
