That's a travesty. Sharks with the much better rugby. I've no idea how the Canes won that.
Scored more points?

@winger His name is Jordie and he isn't a first-five.
And he'd still be better than West...
That useless West guy did alright at the end there to win the game.
Made up for 83 minutes of running the backline like an Umaga gameplan I suppose.
-
At least West got the final kick. But please coaches don't let him start again. It ruins my enjoyment of watching the Canes play and brings back to the surface deeply buried bad memories of previous flakey 1sts (like Gopperth). If Beauden is out either Jordie or JGB.

How did they win that? probably played the poorest rugby I've seen for long time, looked outgunned yet grit and determination and playing till the end got them the win.
thought many of the hurricane players looked out of their depth against physical opposition which will count against them come ABs time. shields was terrible on D although kept the troops going. Also Henwood showed he was light weight at this level. Also thought Lam was shying away from the tough stuff. You watch him at rucks etc just doesn't want to get involved, ABs will look at that stuff.
In saying that boys who got stuck in, Riccetelli, Lousi, Perenara, Laumape and Barrett were into everything. -

Feel a bit sorry for Shields, he slogs his arse off but just keeps rogering shit up
The canes sub at 9 and his telegraphed box kicks ffs. although not much protection there
6 minutes to go length of the field to win in 84th min? Not bad.
Shawks doing plenty of damage on inside channels like last week. Canes missing their hardman enforcer at 1st 5.
Shields looks like he needs a rest. He started off playing outstanding rugby but looks tired now.
Unsure how the Canes won this one.

tough call at 15 too between Bosch and Lions blonde-haired guy
Those restart kicks were astonishing. How the fark does he get so much height?
-
How big is the difference between the normal halves and the replacements? Farking absolutely enormous. Ferraris vs Ladas.

Does anyone have an update on Christie's injury status? Booth was pretty shite I thought.
He looked a bit ordinary so hopefully Christie is back soon. Who I think looks the goods although some don't rate him
So far our best locking combination is Lousi and Fifita but keen to see Lousi and Walker Leawere together at some point. They were outstanding together re Canterbury before WL had his operation
Henwood looks a bit lightweight at this level against the big boys like the Sharks so hope Savea is back soon. And Thomson is a great impact 8. Another one I hope to see more of off the bench is Fidow.

@rancid-schnitzel Not so much difference at the Blues or Chiefs, but at the Canes, Saders (10 only) and Landers there's quite a bit of difference.
-
That was such a quintessential West performance. No direction, no control, poor kicking game, but a couple of highlight reel moments. Which is why he's fine as an impact player off the bench, but should never start. If Beauden is out again then Jordie should move to 10 as he did against the Lions.
Some credit to the Canes at the end there, didn't panic and some good decisions to keep taking the 3s to stay within striking distance. Then that final surge upfield to score was clinical as fuck, would have made tough viewing for Sharks fans.
A wins a win, hopefully we take some lessons on board from that. Similar to the Bulls match we didn't play well overall but this time we got the chocolates.
The game highlighted how important TJP and Beauden are more than anything.
