England V Australia

@rebound Would be easier blame the ref if the Wallabies executed better when it mattered. Case in point the very odd try to Daly, if Simmons had not splilled the ball on the tryline or Kuridrani would have taken the offload from Kerevi, it would have been diferent result. So many woulda coulda shouldas.
Either it is the coaching, or the players just aren't good enough, probably a bit of both, add playing away and the ref being a bit hometown and you get a blowout score like this in the last ten.

Yeah thought Australia competed well physically considering they were missing the likes of Coleman, Tui and Rodda in the pack.
England played the conditions better - their superior kicking game helped - Wallabies were very adventurous considering the conditions.
Hooper and Koroibete Wallabies best.
Care vs Phipps is two different worlds of quality off the bench at halfback.
For all the controversy I thought Okeefe got the decisions right and reffed well.

Just popped in to say....how do ya like those pesky kiwis and Aussies now @Catogrande ?

Daly was infront of the kick. Fuck the home producer is never going to show it twice
Nope, it was close, but he was level, as was apparent on the wide angle replay from Sky. The lateral striping on the pitch made it dead easy to see. Ben Youngs' standing foot when he kicked was about 1ft I back from the edge of a dark stripe straddling the England 22. Daly was at the same distance from that line when Youngs made contact. Initially I thought he might be offside, but I think it only looked that way because he was retreating; he was definitely onside when the ball was kicked.

@disgusted-of-tw Won't argue about it, I only saw one quick replay where he seemed to be a metre or so offside. Anyway it didn't matter as Aus should have scored twice in that passage of play. No excuses.

I’m feeling pretty sanguine about the Aussies 😀
I was at the game and have to say it was an odd experience. Quite a muted atmosphere. The game felt like two bald men fighting over a comb. England got the rub of the green for sure and the score did not really reflect the way the game was going. No issue with the decisions really. The most interesting part is likely to be Cheika’s interview. He does come across as a bit of cockwash.

Chek blows up at interviewer ...
... niggling him though
Was funny , did his best to be diplomatic, then he couldn't take it anymore ,
Those women they have interviewing over there ( not sure if it's the same one ) do bait you though ,
We have seen it a few times with Hansen etc

@kiwiinmelb it's the same fluffybunny that was all over the Dan carter high tackle I think.

The Pommie tart who nagged and badgered Michael Cheika deserved nothing more than "Go away, don't waste my time!"

@mick-gold-coast-qld I think you probably lost anyone as soon as you said "Melodie".

"@mick-gold-coast-qld I think you probably lost anyone as soon as you said "Melodie".Nah, I've watched her for some years in the NPC / ITM / Craven A Filters Cup and she has demonstrated that she studies the game, understands it well enough and treats the blokes who bring it to us with due respect. I reckon she succeeds on her merits.
She is way ahead of the weather girlie blondes the League and the AFL shove under our noses to satisfy the manic determination to convince the masses of the vital true truth that wymminses and men are precisely the same and that to suggest otherwise is raaacist.
I've never asked - is she not well regarded in NZ rugby?

@mick-gold-coast-qld she's a bit of an egg eh.

Tough game in atrocious conditions. Scoreline very misleading.
It was a tight game, and the bounce of the ball went England's way. That happens. They're at home in conditions they are better suited to.
I was surprised with how well our forwards muscled up, and to have a shot at winning with 10 to go, despite playing with 13 at one point... you can't be too unhappy.
The refereeing was OK, but I can't help thinking he bottled a few big calls. Hooper was offside from the kick, but did it really impact the play? It looked to me like Korobiete made contact as he tried to chip it through, which would have put him onside. Was that looked at? No.
The Moore obstruction call was a fair one, but Robshaw was way offside to begin with;
Ultimately England were the better side and deserved the victory. But it was clearly much closer than the scoreline suggested.

Melodie Robinson was a reasonably good flanker in her days and played for the Black Ferns.
