    Dempsey got MOTM. Fully deserved. Thought he was our best against Argentina, too. He's not the tallest blindside, or the heaviest, but he plays like a right fluffybunny and lives the contact.

    Let's keep this indigenous jersey forever.

    Well done Australia, good win. Cleeeeeaaaaarly the better team, which is worrying, because I'm happy to stand by the statement I've made here. We're a shittier now team than we were two years ago, there's no really nice way to say it.

    Sure, we were missing a few first teamers, but even then I don't really think that the 2017 team - at full strength - is better than the 2015 team - at full strength. It'll make international rugby interesting, at least, but right now we are very dependent on our second row.

    Well I’m off to bed. And strangely I’m not that upset. I think it’s these losses that the coaches learn from and hopefully helps going forward.

    Well played Wallabies. Should have won by more. They smoked us. Won the collisions and the loose balls - they really wanted this.

    DMac had a fucking mare - who knew a midget error prone fullback who makes bad decisions wouldnt work out in the wet?

    SBW had a great game aside from that dumb grubber - but Ofa deserves more criticism for his dumb shoulder charge.

    We got smoked up front. Whitelock looks out of gas.

    Sopoaga was rocks and diamonds. Not what you want in the wet.

    @tim Agree 100%. Read, Cane and SBW were doing all the tackling. Squire almost completely anonymous. Anyone would think it was Hansen's wife that Kaino was banging. Depth at 6, 8 and 10 exposed.

    Squire has had some good moments and some average ones this season. Work in progress for sure.

    Squire was called one of the best finds of the season earlier in the RC when he had a brilliant game; now he has a bad game, and suddenly he is the worst? I don't buy either. He's a good player, and until they find a better one, they just need to work on improving him. They have to, because Kaino isn't go to last much longer.

    He was actually worse tonight than in the semi-final against the Crusaders. Absolutely shithouse player. Not good enough for the Chiefs but Hansen picks him ahead of Kaino and Ioane. Moron.

    @gt12 agreed that our 2015 vintage is better than this squad, this 2017 vintage is more like the 2008-9-10 era, we lost depth after 2007.
    DC was starting to make his mark, just as Beauden is.
    Nonu & Snake were a new midfield really, and we're not really sure our best combo (I still think Crotty/ALB over SBW/Crotty)
    2017 locks are world class, front row much a muchness.

    He just doesn't seem to offer anything in tight which Kaino did and which we are sorely needing with Retallick out. Read stepped his game up in that department today.

    Well done Oz. Through gritted teeth.
    Better team on the day, in the second half at least - and it seemed mostly due to a whole lot of Cheika's beloved "mongrel, effort, grit, belief" - and all the other bullshit buzzwords he rolls out as "coaching". So, maybe... he's been a genius all along?
    Also - Cane holding up most of the team for 80 minutes, just too exhausted to hold that final ball?
    And yeah - SBW, no need to comment on that chip/grubber/? kick, it's already been pointed out as a fucking stupid fluffybunny unnecessary glory-hunting Hail Mary what-the-fuck moment.

    Sopoanga lacked punch required to get backline moving in contact. DMac is not a first five at this level. Crocketts missed tackle before half time and Aaron Smiths poor pass at start of second half when on attack changed game. Some of our players are not quite there and we have others.
