    It's a good point that right now we only seem to have one game plan.

    Kind of feels like we've returned to the 2000s - we'll score 50 if it works or it'll be a wrestle if it doesn't.

    I would hope that players like Barrett, TJP, and McKenzie consider that (or have it put to them).

    Do you think we're just concentrating on one style at the moment. We might change it up for the EOYT.

    @tim

    Good point, but they usually had Cruden there in his place, and I think his game management ability may have been underestimated.

    At about the 55th minute mark we had had no ball for the last 10 minutes. We had the ball from a scrum and Perenara just grubber kicked it away. That's an example of a time where we just need to be a bit smarter.

    That's what I'm hoping. It's still 2 years till the WX, so games like this are good opportunities to try things I guess.

    @hydro11 The grubber kick that went dead was one of the worst plays of the game. Dumb as shit.

    Carter at 10 too a huge factor there.

    We were better under late McCaw (I remember Cardiff and how uncomposed that team was).

    And that was largely Cruden.

    @nepia Definitely only playing one style and I expect they'll keep practicing it unapologetically, errors and all, with next WC in mind .

    Actually I think the Nonu-Smith combo is a much bigger factor. SBW and ALB might throw the odd miracle ball but neither is a patch on their respective predecessors, particularly in terms of passing and being able to take some pressure off the flyhalf.

    @rancid-schnitzel

    Also an excellent point.

    I thought both SBW and ALB looked better tonight.

    There were two or three times when ALB made just the right decision defending the outside break, stopping things cold. I used to hate that situation so much, and it was a huge strength of Smiths. If he can get accurate at that, we'll be in a great defensive situation going forward with Crotty also around.

    I also liked it how ALB got more involved once SBW went off too.

    Thought the ref did a great job in helping Argentina be more competitive in that second half by making several really bad calls.

    First test match I've thought McKenzie could be a keeper. By far his best match in Black. Barrett was good in the 1st 40. As was SBW. 2nd half was pretty muck.

    As for Laurie Mains and Rugby Clichés 101 "The Pumas have a good scrum". Um, no they don't. Their scrum has been poor this RC, and was once again very average.
