Man Cruden kicking the ball away with 90 seconds was pretty hard to stomach. That's a 2% play. It was well covered by two Lions defenders. Lions had given away penalties all day. The plan should have been to work upfield, kick a drop goal and at least draw the series.

Also the quick lineout was so unnecessary.

I just hope that we get to see Barrett have 80 mins at 10 next week. Very frustrating watching Cruden there.

Looking at the bright side before I become incoherent, the series is alive and next week actually means something.
Secondly SBW won't be playing and I get to tell everyone who raves about him "I fucking told you so, he's a fluffybunny".

Once again well done to the lions , opportunities are taken not handed out.

I thought Cane, Brodie, Whitelock, and Moody were excellent. Ardie put in a good shift too. We just missed Kaino. That's too long, too short handed.

It wasn't helped by A) shitty goal kicking, and 😎 shitty kicking. I don't think Cruden justifies his place, and he needs to be dropped.

If Jordie Barrett is good enough, he must be picked. Dagg to 14, and I'm tempted to bring back Julian too. I'm totally over Ioane missing his first up tackles.

And, lastly, but mostly, well done Lions. They made hard work of it, but they got the job done, which was required the moment we lost SBW. Good on them!

Cruden was hopeless. Why would you go for an extremely low percentage play with a minute to go.

Still should have won it with a 9 point lead though.

Losing by 3 points after playing with 14 men for most of the game and a ref that doesn't know his job is actually not that bad. A better opponent would have benefitted more from having a player more.

The frustrating thing is we really should won that game with 20 minutes to go. We just gave away two very sloppy tries. The ease at which they scored was a big concern.

All of a sudden it's becoming a delimna, you need a 10 on the bench , and in the modern game , you need to use your bench .
    Need another 10 utility

In hindsight, it was wrong to sub Jerome. We needed the extra forward in the tight exchanges, and didn't need the extra back while the weather was worse (the rain easing was an unpredictable bugger). Needed a forward earlier and a back later.

The idiots running this game should surely use some some common sense and get rid of the bs penalty for tackling a player in the air when he jumps into the tackle. There was nothing Faumaina could have done there.

Well done Lions but only just..you almost threw away a match against a team you had an extra man against for three quarters of the match but. found just enough in the end.

I think the ABs will be angry in the last match.

I hope for next week that the ABs are really, really angry and sharp as a butcher's knife. Again, the team selection will be interesting.

On a dry field with 15 we will hold the ball better. We need to stick the cross kick in the bin. Without winning upfront it's a low%.

Wonder if someone will be sited from for the swinging arm that concussed Naholo...

    Stomp in there?

Knocked out by a swinging arm. Feck, can't afford injuries.

If the citing commissioner is doing his job SOB will be out next week. Naholo's exit screwed up our six man backline defence.

    Ok. Fuck.

Ref was as random as fuck.

However i can see the rationale for the rc. I disagree with it. He did wrap his left arm. But hey ho you do that you put yourself in the ref's hands.

Couple of high / late shots by both teams on balance the Lions got the rub of that green.

Ref had as much idea about the offside line as Itoje did.

Couple of nice tries by BILs. Very very good.

That last penalty was absolute crap. You can't jump into a pass and be considered "in the air". What about if someone is running and hit at the moment both feet are off the ground? That was crap.

BBs kicking boots ... it was worried about ....

Great D by BILs. Big big tackles.

So to beat the All Blacks you have:

    1. Pray for rain
    2. Play against 14
    3. Get some bullshit calls in your favour
    4. Score a couple of sensational tries
    5. Defend well

Always thought this would be a war and could go either way and full credit ( 🙂 ) (despite my balanced and reasonable analysis above) to the Lions for coming out on top.

We obviously should be immensely proud that they nearly snatched that despite the act of enormous stupidity. But fark I hate to lose.

Took them an age, but the Lions finally used their advantage.

Bring on the decider and lets hope that one will be 15 vs 15.
