Yup someone saw an easy way to take money off a grieving embittered old man.<br />
<br />
Money that should rightfully have been spent strengthening the Fulham squad.<br />
<br />
Mohammed thinks it supports his theory that the Director came to him, he didn't commission the movie.

The most intriguing thing to me was that photograph of Philip with the Nazis. I was gobsmacked wondering if it was authentic. Guess I missed it when this story broke (2006), but did a google search and found out, yup, it's true.<br />
<br />
<br />
Prince Philip has broken a 60-year public silence about his family's links with the Nazis.<br />
<br />
In a frank interview, he said they found Hitler's attempts to restore Germany's power and prestige 'attractive' and admitted they had 'inhibitions about the Jews'.<br />
<br />
The revelations come in a book about German royalty kowtowing to the Nazis, which features photographs never published in the UK.<br />
<br />
They include one of Philip aged 16 at the 1937 funeral of his elder sister Cecile, flanked by relatives in SS and Brownshirt uniforms.<br />
<br />
One row back in the cortege in Darmstadt, western Germany, was his uncle, Lord Mountbatten, wearing a Royal Navy bicorn hat.<br />
<br />
Another picture shows his youngest sister, Sophia, sitting opposite Hitler at the wedding of Hermann and Emmy Goering.<br />
<br />
Explaining the attraction of the Nazis, 84-year-old Prince Philip told an American academic: "There was a great improvement in things like trains running on time and building. There was a sense of hope after the depressing chaos of the Weimar Republic.<br />
<br />
"I can understand people latching on to something or somebody who appeared to be appealing to their patriotism and trying to get things going. You can understand how attractive it was."<br />
<br />
He added that there was 'a lot of enthusiasm for the Nazis at the time, the economy was good, we were anti-Communist and who knew what was going to happen to the regime?'<br />
<br />
Philip stressed that he was never 'conscious of anybody in the family actually expressing anti-Semitic views'. But he went on to say there were 'inhibitions about the Jews' and 'jealousy of their success'.<br />

Who cares about gross human injustices when you can get your trains running on time!

Faster; Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton.<br />
<br />
Bit of old fashioned mindless shoot em up action, with a couple of cool cars!

Went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean 4 in 3D yesterday.<br />
Big fan of the first 3 (though the last 2 werent as good and were too muddled and ridiculous at times).<br />
<br />
Enjoyed it alot, was better for dropping a couple of the original cast members, a much simpler plot.<br />
Less effects and thought Cruz wasnt bad.<br />
<br />
7.7/10

watched Conviction - HIlary Swank<br />
<br />
Based on a true story about a guy convicted of a brutal murder, and his sister tries to become a lawyer so she can fight for him to become free, not too bad of a movie.<br />
<br />
I googled it afterwards and the movie obviously has it's poetic licence with some aspects left out, but I liked it none the less

Unknown; Liam Neeson, January Jones, Diane Kruger - I guess based on the success of Neeson in Taken, this one has allowed him into a similar role (although something in this area did annoy me a little) all in all, a good film! <br />
<br />
elephant White; Kevin Bacon, Djimon Hounsou - the latter being an assassin, and the former ex-military dealing in arms, set in Bangkok, lots of shooting, fighting, a few slightly ott gun battles as well, but easy to watch.<br />
<br />
Pirates of the Caribbean 3D; My first experience at 3D since the days of cardboard blue and red glasses....I thought the movie fine, was as good as it's predecessors (although none quite as good as the original) and the 3D effects looked good too (although as explained, compared with...)

Hangover II - Funny but not as good as the first one. Seemed like they tried too hard to deliver punchlines etc. 6.5/10

Lincoln Lawyer; Matthew McConaghy (sp) Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillipe and a few other faces I recognised.<br />
<br />
Crime/drama/thriller - bit of a slow start, but ends up quite a good film

Yeah some generally hilarious moments but they were a bit few and far between. That beared gimp gave me the shits. very annoying. <br />
<br />
Also surely every mans worst nightmare to find out they've been on the hammer and then fucked in the assss by a ladyboy.

Thought it was all right. Had a reasonable plot, and was fairly well executed.

Tracker. Ray Winstone (with dodgy Boer accent) and Temearu Morrison. A reasonable yarn about an embittered Boer War veteran arriving in NZ and getting involved in tracking a Maori accused of killing a Bristish Soldier. Enjoyable for some of the scenery and the punch ups between the two leads. Neat ending too, although you can sort of guess it.

Obviously I am far too easy to please. Although it didn't have the surprise factor I enjoyed it and the film was a great way to unwind on a Friday night. The gimp was more annoying this time but the Chinese guy was a total crack up

I liked it also. The gimp was awesome I thought...and Chang/Chow whoever he is in this one was a bit lame. Each to their own! Some good laughs, not the funniest movie ever but worth a watch.

Hall Pass - a few good laughs, but kinda diverted from being what it appeared it was trying to be, to a bro-mantic comedy

Took my boy to see Pirates 4 yesterday . Thought it was excellent in parts but not overly flash for the rest . Think i may have nodded off at one point . Wouldn't say it was any better than 2,3 or 4 , certainly none have been even close to the first one .

After all this time finally saw Avatar last night. Wasn't too bad albeit a bit predictable for a Pochahontas/ Dances with Wolves with a twist of Star Wars (final battle sounded like the attack on Yavin), Aliens (Mining corporation with co-op from military) and a sprinkle of Braveheart (the face paint at the end) meets Halo movie
