Hangover II - Funny but not as good as the first one. Seemed like they tried too hard to deliver punchlines etc. 6.5/10

Lincoln Lawyer; Matthew McConaghy (sp) Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillipe and a few other faces I recognised.

Crime/drama/thriller - bit of a slow start, but ends up quite a good film

Yeah some generally hilarious moments but they were a bit few and far between. That beared gimp gave me the shits. very annoying.

Also surely every mans worst nightmare to find out they've been on the hammer and then fucked in the assss by a ladyboy.

    RE: Lincoln Lawyer.
Thought it was all right. Had a reasonable plot, and was fairly well executed.

Tracker. Ray Winstone (with dodgy Boer accent) and Temearu Morrison. A reasonable yarn about an embittered Boer War veteran arriving in NZ and getting involved in tracking a Maori accused of killing a Bristish Soldier. Enjoyable for some of the scenery and the punch ups between the two leads. Neat ending too, although you can sort of guess it.

Obviously I am far too easy to please. Although it didn't have the surprise factor I enjoyed it and the film was a great way to unwind on a Friday night. The gimp was more annoying this time but the Chinese guy was a total crack up

I liked it also. The gimp was awesome I thought...and Chang/Chow whoever he is in this one was a bit lame. Each to their own! Some good laughs, not the funniest movie ever but worth a watch.

Hall Pass - a few good laughs, but kinda diverted from being what it appeared it was trying to be, to a bro-mantic comedy

Took my boy to see Pirates 4 yesterday . Thought it was excellent in parts but not overly flash for the rest . Think i may have nodded off at one point . Wouldn't say it was any better than 2,3 or 4 , certainly none have been even close to the first one .

After all this time finally saw Avatar last night. Wasn't too bad albeit a bit predictable for a Pochahontas/ Dances with Wolves with a twist of Star Wars (final battle sounded like the attack on Yavin), Aliens (Mining corporation with co-op from military) and a sprinkle of Braveheart (the face paint at the end) meets Halo movie

Best opening fight scene I have seen for a while. Not a bad brainless action flick either. 7/10

Have caught a few recent films recently.

'Drive Angry', Nic Cage thing..okish..bit silly..never really grabbed me. Not his worse work though. 6.5/10

'The Green Hornet', not bad but a confusing movie that never reaches anything special. Nor can it make up its mind what its supposed to be, action or comedy.
Probably one of the worse comic book films ive seen. 6/10

"Dinner for Smucks'..had my doubts a while ago about this, but couldnt find much else that the mrs might enjoy watching, wish i hadnt bothered. 5.5/10

a 6/10 is nothing to be sneezed at, you must love your adaptations Virg !

I saw the ad for it and asked my mate next to me what the Green Lantern actually did in terms of super powers. We both stared blankly.....

Have gone through a Terry Gilliam phase over the past fortnight.

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen - I only saw this movie once before, as a nine-year old, so didn't know what to expect. I thought it was a fun tale which sometimes got a little sidetracked, but a good watch none the less. You also see Uma Thurman's nipple <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> 6/10

Brazil - Basically a rip-off of George Orwell's 1984 but with humour. The mother was a bit creepy and I didn't get the reason behind the Samurai but the ending was great. Enjoyed Robert DeNiro's character leading a rebellion via air con repair. 7/10.

Leaving Mr Gilliam for a moment, I watched EuroTrip on Four tonight. I don't care what anyone says, I find that film funny and could watch it multiple times. 9/10.

Saw Hangover two - brilliant, when showing the photos over the opening credits. Pretty dire everywhere else.

I'm a bit diluted to Chow due to him being the Chang on Community (watch it if you haven't yet) so didn't find him funny.

Despite everyone in the theater laughing on cue for the Zach Galinafikas (sp) character, I think his shtick is well and truly done.

On reflection I'd give it a 5.5/10 - the point 5 due to the bride being hot and the old bride being really hot - even if pregnant.

I love that you two are obliviously talking about two different films.

Speaking of De Niro, I thought that Limitless with Bradley Cooper and him was brilliant. I'd give it an 8/10. Scary how hideous they made Ana Friel look though.
