TKB has the passing accuracy of A Smith and the strength of TJP in heavy traffic. Was a good addition I thought, his crisp service helped us open the game up at the end.
This is the same guy that threw a no look pass that would have been an Aus try if we didn't have a turbo hooker?

What exactly are you disagreeing with him on? That was an obvious fuck up but it doesn't change the fact that his delivery was a dramatic improvement on TJP's crap passing.

Watching the Wallaby post game interview and Chieka's having a massive whine. What's this thing about clowns?

@Rapido nah bro, I don't see it. He can choose his support line: the guy with the ball is so far in front that the support player can choose to go inside or outside. The defender never had a chance. Never was in front of dhp. It's a try.
Julian may not have got him but he was denied the chance to by the change of line...technically correct ruling IMO.
Thought savea was rubbish in.the first 40 but sparked up in the 2nd.
Todd was excellent. Some of his and Kainos hits....that trysaver by coles was right in front of me and boy he can move!
Wish people would stop booing Quade...mind you there are always boof heads who are embarrassing and there were 2 just in front of us. But there seemed large sectools that didn't boo too which is good.

As usual, Chieka's embarrassed himself. What a fool.
-
press conference from cheika was interesting, will be a talking point tomorrow
-
@antipodean what old Crusty saying? When you get reamed by 27 points you'd have to have Winger strength cognitive issues to think you'd been robbed.
-
@antipodean was a cartoon of cheika dressed as a clown front page of the sports page, think it said bring on the clowns
-
@taniwharugby but this is what I don't get... why can't a support player change his line from inside to outside? He's in front of the defender.
-
@reprobate he wasnt he was beside him and changed his line. if he was in front I agree.

Internet is erupting with outraged Wallabies fans. Spittle flying everywhere, but it was stupid from DHP because it was so unnecessary - Julian wasn't going to catch Speight.
-
@taniwharugby I see him as marginally in front - at absolute worst even and jostling for position - and irrelevant to play anyway as there was no catching him. I think it's a shit call, and i would be furious if it were against my team.
-
@reprobate whether Julian woulda got him or not is irrelevant, hecwas in a position to attempt and was denied by a dumb pointless move by dhp.
Oh and I'd be furious too if we were on the end of that...but IMO still correct in the rule book

I'm sure he sends sternly worded emails to The Daily Telegraph and Fox every time they portray their opponents as anything other than brilliant.
-
First question for Cheika in the presser is about the no-try. His response - and I'm paraphrasing:
"I dunno. Obviously I can't say anything because they've got you by the throat. Never seen shepherding from behind before... but
Before all that though we've got to own our mistakes. We turned ball over too much, played a lot of rugby, and know NZ are good on counterattack. We turn it over and allow them score so that's the first thing before we speak about turning points and all that business.
And we can only call it a turning point if we lose by less than a score perhaps. I know there are ramifications for the game [if we score]. And someone has to own those mistakes as well so we'll see if World Rugby come out with an announcement."
Its on the All Blacks Facebook "Live" video list.

I think the try should have be given. Full stop. Period. Some more full stops to make my point understood but.....if the Oz winger hadn't (needlessly) stuck his hand out and looked like he tried to grab J Savea them we wouldn't be having the argument. But he did and "no try" is the result.
