Wellington v North Harbour, semi-final

We were bloody shocking (Harbour were poor too). We missed a lot of tackles, turned over a lot of ball and didn't seem to be anywhere on the kick chase. Still I don't know how the referee doesn't award a penalty try at the end there. The Harbour player clearly knocks the ball dead as we were going to score a try. Disappointing to not have that chance, however unlikely.

@Frye Haha to be fair to Li (and I am definitely not a fan of his), he was outstanding apart from that.
Well done Harbour, thoroughly deserved.
Li was great all game. The difference.

Not a good Mitre 10 Cup result for the Hurricanes catchment, as their only province in the Premiership (Hawke's Bay) is relegated and none of their teams in the Championship will go back up to replace them.
More worrying is how much money it costs Wellington. The WRU is going to have to start making some serious cuts now.

Time surely to find at least a half decent coach. The Canes got rid of a rubbish coach in Hammett but this coaching team is an even bigger joke
Could someone remind me of Boyd's last wellington season please?

Hammer's team is in the Premiership final.
Just sayin'.
Edit: Actually, to be fair, I heard Mexted on Radiosport during the week saying that he didn't think the current Wellington coaching team was up to it. He was using them as an example of the difference between a well coached team and a poorly coached team and he reckoned Wellington had got worse as the season progressed.
Can't comment on that because I haven't really watched them this year.

That was a great game to watch. High scoring, back and forth, and the good guys getting the win
