If the Chiefs fluff up this week they can truly wear the choker's tag.

They'll be fine with Jacobson and Tupaea back.

Not too much interest in this game. Seemingly.

Don't want to jinx them, but you'd have to think the Chiefs style matches up pretty well against the Brumbies. The ACT defence has been a bit porous, but they're very good at the breakdown and at set piece. Keep the ball moving. The weather forecast definitely looks like it suits the Brumbies unfortunately. The loose trio this week should make retaining ball a bit easier, so hopefully more points per visit to the 22 than that first half of missed opportunities vs the Blues excellent defence. Wrampling played really well, but for combinations having Tupaea back is a big boost too.

Confidence not overly high for this one unfortunately, lacked kiler instinct last week and it's not a good look for finals footy.

@Windows97 I'd suggest the Blues have done the Chiefs a massive favour actually. The Monday review will have highlighted a few things they'll want to address which will assist massively in nullifying the Brumbies attack.

@antipodean I certainly hope so, having Tupea back will make a big difference and hoepfully give our backline some more go-forward on attack.

Can they fix the lineout? The Brumbies have one of the best lineouts in the comp?

They have some big forwards. They can potentially just strangle the Chiefs with territory if the lineout isn't fixed.

That's not the impression I get from the players interviews I've seen. DMac mentioned the discipline in the last 10 mins, although if he got that penalty it was game over.

If we win this week, I'll get excited because is is a Super final, but it feels a bit blah that we lose but advance.
I know that is the benefit of being top of the table, but still. Silly format.

@Bovidae I meant my confidence isn't high, no reflection on the players - I would certainly hope they are highly confident!!

The injuries were such a challenge last week, just before and during the game. Consequently I don't think we used the right tactics at the base of scrum and we lost lineout accuracy, and seemed very wary of breakdown penalties until out on their feet in last 5.
I hope to see better use of attacking options with Tupaea back and much better use of our long kickers in exit plays.

I am confident we can plug the holes that conspired against us v blues. And if the penalty hadn't veered away late, the match would have been won, or if forward pass called it was scrum back on halfway.
Hell the Blues just nailed their only chance, created by challenging circumstances.
If Chiefs play Blues in final I would back Chiefs, provided no serious injuries prior.

Agree on the lineout, but their kicking game is a bit hit and miss.

    Should be a fascinating contest.

Big opportunity for Carter and Narawa to give the AB selectors something to think about.

The crowds for the finals have been appalling. I don't know whether this is because the same teams have had home finals the last few years, but it has to be of concern.

God, I hope this doesn’t come down to a battle of rolling mauls and that we get to see some actual rugby. Sorry, showing my lack of sophistication.

Surely with the loss at home last week, return of a few key men -- the Chiefs should be fizzing at the bunghole for this... 13 +
