SF Chiefs v Brumbies

Surprised no Chiefs fans bothered to create a thread yet
Any update on the injuries?
Think it was posted elsewhere already but sounds like Luke Jacobson and Quinn Tupaea should be back, Josh Lord is TBC (left for an HIA and never returned), and Simon Parker is likely out.
-
I was going to.
In today's Waikato Times, Parker is very unlikely with an ankle injury, Tupaea will be back (seems to be training), and Jacobson should return from a shoulder niggle. Lord failed his HIA so his availability will be dependent on the other tests.
I think McMillan will make some changes. Norris to start at LH, and the loose forward trio will be predictable due to Parker's injury. Sititi hadn't trained earlier in the week due to an ankle niggle from the Highlanders game, hence why he was on the bench.
The interest will be the reserves. I would have Brown over Boshier, and wouldn't be surprised if Tupou is there to provide lock/6 cover. ENS may start ahead of Carter.

Don't want to jinx them, but you'd have to think the Chiefs style matches up pretty well against the Brumbies. The ACT defence has been a bit porous, but they're very good at the breakdown and at set piece. Keep the ball moving. The weather forecast definitely looks like it suits the Brumbies unfortunately. The loose trio this week should make retaining ball a bit easier, so hopefully more points per visit to the 22 than that first half of missed opportunities vs the Blues excellent defence. Wrampling played really well, but for combinations having Tupaea back is a big boost too.
-
@Windows97 I'd suggest the Blues have done the Chiefs a massive favour actually. The Monday review will have highlighted a few things they'll want to address which will assist massively in nullifying the Brumbies attack.
-
@antipodean I certainly hope so, having Tupea back will make a big difference and hoepfully give our backline some more go-forward on attack.

Can they fix the lineout? The Brumbies have one of the best lineouts in the comp?
They have some big forwards. They can potentially just strangle the Chiefs with territory if the lineout isn't fixed.

Confidence not overly high for this one unfortunately
That's not the impression I get from the players interviews I've seen. DMac mentioned the discipline in the last 10 mins, although if he got that penalty it was game over.
