@Stockcar86 almost as busy as Eric Roberts...

He has a few projects on the go

I wonder how wealthy Roberts is? I remember reading years back that George Clooney was pretty decently well off before his big break in ER because he'd been cast in a bunch of shows that although they often didn't make it past the first season he'd get paid well for that seasons, and for recurring roles on shows like The Golden Girls etc.

I assume Roberts gets paid ok money to do a couple of days work on most of these movies.

Anyway, on my Oscar noms watch I'm three quarters of the way through Wicked. Will try finish it in the next couple of days. I don't hate it (the story itself is actually decent) but it's still a musical.

Eric Roberts is not even close to being the best paid actor in his family.

That's true, he's probably only third best, but I still think he's doing ok for himself.

The Baldwins probably had a few interesting Xmas catch ups.

Not just on money, but on politics too, I think one of the lesser brother's is a MAGA and all the rest are liberals.

Personally I think Netflix has more better shows than Amazon, they just make across the board stuff so some really average stuff gets on there (and often does well as there's no accounting for taste).

Amazon has a few really good shows and then other than that is a shit show of an app where everything else is hard to find and they prioritise other streamers content to get you to pay more.

I don't watch a huge amount of TV, so can't comment on the relative strengths of Netflix versus Amazon. But I do know that of the billion dollars spent on RoP, only $13.73 was spent on the script writing

No argument there, I just feel they're less likely to have the next Bond a fat disabled transwoman.

Although we can all be thankful that Disney doesn't have it.

It's a joke. Not a dissertation on script writing.

@Bones I haven't seen it yet, but a lovely lady tonight told me it was great.
I have also heard, however, from other sources, that it was destroying the fabric of society, somehow. Wrecking people's childhoods. That sort of carry-on.

Bridget Jones - Mad About The Boy

Enjoyed the first Bridget Jones films as a bit of a satire on a certain section of society and with some great comic moments, but this was a bit meh. That said, Chiwetel Ejiofor as the manic science teacher was bloody brilliant,

    The gorge

    Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy

The premise sounds shite, but you know what, it was decent.

    Sci-fi, action romance....pfft

3 this should be average AF out of 5 that was decent

Was a bit of a nod for both main actors early work with chess and drumming.

    Flight Risk

    Don't. Just don't. Catastrophically bad.

Script is terrible. Overacting. Utterly stupid plot.

I wrote the above before the movie ended. It got worse. Unfathomably fucking stupid. Strong contender for the dumbest thing I'll see this year.
