I hate when watching rugby, a player scores a try and all the subs swarm in for the group hug...
Gift one ref some testes - have him blow a penalty for too many players in field-of-play, as part of the try. Go back to last stoppage/advantage... ie: no try.
Knock it on its fucking head. -
What you're missing here guys is the theatre. It's bums on seats. It's growing the game.
There's probably a diversity slant to - ALL players MUST be able to celebrate fully together..
Yeah. it's shit.

this is an underappreciated post people.
Are underappreciated post people similar to underappreciated Pole people?
As to a certain someone calling themself "a bender", well, it takes all types.

i know this is the Grumpy old man thread but fuck you are some miserable old fluffybunnies
"i hate it when people are having fun!"

@Kiwiwomble I actually think a pretty big part of the over the top celebrations like that is to rub it in the other teams face. Similar to what James Lowe does for Ireland.

I'm sure a bunch of hobos having it off with eachother on a public footpath are having lots of fun. Doesn't mean I want to see it.

Yes it's just not the Fern for a thread to live up to its title...

Just on the Orange Goblin. No matter what the outcomes, the way Trump goes about things is disgusting. He is not the manager of the US. He is not a property developer negotiating a deal. He is the leader of his people, his words matter.
The fact that far too many are willing to just wipe away his utterances this week as "of yeah that's just how he does things. And at least he'll get things moving" despite the inflamatory and downright inaccurate very public statements is a sad indictment of how far we have fallen as a society.
Agreed. And to stay with the theme of the last few posts: How many politicians have failed us that Trump was considered a better alternative?
we get the leaders we deserve. The west has become hyper-fixated on the rights of the individual over the good of the collective (and thus the responsibility of the individual). Which leads to "what's in it for me" whether some like that truth or not.
Holy shit people have become fucking entitled and rude. Like blocking the footpath to have a conversation, standing in doorways, staying in the right hand lane. And it's not like this is young people or migrants. It's people around my age who have gotten too accustomed to not being held accountable.
Almost as if being their "true selves" on the internet has them thinking there's no consequences or repercussions in real life.

Muthafucka! that pisses me off. My own friends, or ex-gf - stopping in the middle of the footpath to discuss something, and I have to try to subtly sidle over here to the side, into an alcove, ideally... and they're not getting the hint... W.. T.. A.. F.. ?
I can't guess how many times I've considered how we could enforce sidewalk/pavement rules - similar to the Road-Code.

Families and groups of friends that walk spread across an entire walkway shits me. Happens all the time in Darling Harbour.

It's massive in Britain, fluffybunnies prefer to stand in doorways and get huffy if you want to go past.

It's the same skiing these days. Pricks sitting down and having a chat in the middle of the piste. Just fuck off to the side or better still, just fuck off. And as for those idiots that do this just over the drop so you don't see them until you're right on top of them.
Just fuck off.

@Catogrande getting disrupted in the middle of a piss is something to be grumpy about.

for actual fucks sake, this dude is only casual so told him to give it a couple of days for the corporate machine to finish his onboarding, call back in today for the team meeting (9am) so i can introduce him to the rest of the team and then finish all his HSE stuff, came by my desk at 830 and said he wasnt sure if he should come in on call in so played it safe and came in, cool.....then i couldnt find him and i text him to ask where he was and he said he'd left his computer in his car.....just came back at 930...completely missed the team meeting...seemed to have no idea what i was talking about....
update for anyone interested
the following week we got him out on site as an assistant, i talked with the lead and the feedback was fine, "did his job, asked good questions", so i started to think he might be ok on site, i then proceeded to have a couple of week of very poor communication, just not replying to texts or email...i then find he coudlnt get into his emails and just hadnlt told anyone. I also talked again to the lead and he finally admitted this dude was 30 min late on that day....we decided to give him one more day on site today....hes now 40min late
last week he actually called me to ask what he needed to do to get more work (as hes a casual) and i told him people were cautious because he'd been continuously late and he needed to sort that....he's done
-
+2 hours late
now im concerend i wont get his work laptop back if i never hear from him again
-
.....forgot to set an alarm....again...called me just to say he thinks he needs to get a new job which i obviously agreed with

Of all his issues it would appear insomnia is not one of them

People who call themselves "Audiophiles" and wank on about their HiFi systems using pseudoscience and bullshit to disprove the laws of physics....or convince themselves they haven't been conned.
Visited a bloke yesterday who had a great system (£10k Linn speakers, etc) but, bugger me, he actually swapped his speaker cables over when he was listening to a digitally-mixed record as it "gave it more warmth" than an analogue mixed master (yes, really). He paid £350 for the cables. He then tried to convince me the gold-plating on his digital TOSlink cables made his music sound better.....
I actually felt sorry for him and just nodded my head
