Wha'ts the status of EB and Dalts? Both still injured? And with the squad?
The ABs kept DP on the same RTP rehab program for a cpl week's when hes felt he should've progressed quicker.
Hasn't been getting much coms & been left in the dark. Razors basically ghosted him.
He had a feeling a cpl week's ago he wouldn't be going over.Interesting. Maybe he has fallen out of favour completely?
This would make no sense at all, Dalton's body language is always first-rate.

On both sides of the ball?

@ACT-Crusader Have you heard how much Cam Roigard is talked up on here? I may be wrong, but I reckon he's started 3 tests, against Uruguay, Namibia, and Japan.
I don’t pay much attention to that, but then again non of the polish girls on the Fern are on TV getting paid to say such things….
-
And I just read that Sam Cane and MT are out.
Looks like Reece will be back and we could see the loose forward trio that ended the match against Ireland start.

"Antoine Dupont can nearly do it all on the pitch which is why the All Blacks, and potential opposite Cam Roigard, must have a plan, writes Patrick McKendry."
What? Top teams need a plan? This is extraordinary!
The perspicacious insight of journalists these days is exhilarating!....in fairness....us coming up with a gameplan tailored to our opposition rather than justhow we want to play regardless of who we're playing....would be nice

When I saw Dalts hamstring injury for Counties I thought there was zero chance he'd play a part on the NH Tour.
He does seem to be out of favour which I think is sad because he has a combination of mobility and clean ability that our breakdown desperately needs.
Lakai is a talent but like Sititi he's an average cleaner.
-
havent read the whole thread so appologies if this is old news

So Robert Van Royen either asked but didn't get a direct quote or has just assumed. Either way Ardie at 7, gets a mention.

Confirms that neither Blackadder nor Papali'i are joining the tour.
We're going to be dipping a fair way down the depth chart for this one.
I can't see them doing anything but shifting Ardie to 7 and Sititi to 8. Don't think this is a test for a newbie to start at 7.
Probably means Finau at 6, unless they do something unusual and play e.g. Vaa'i there.
Then Lakai on the bench.
The plan will obviously be for Ardie and Wallace to play the full 80, but whether they bring him on to play 6 or they shift Ardie and Wallace back to their regular positions and play Lakai at 7, who knows.
-
Would they shift Sititi to 7? Finau at 6 and keep Ardie at 8? Not sure I would do it myself, but it wouldn't surprise me because I am not sure numbers on backs mean too much nowadays.

@Crazy-Horse definitely still means something as far as set piece, very different defending openside to blindside

True, but Sititi is not unfamiliar with that role. They've asked a lot of the young fella so far, what's one more thing?
-
@Crazy-Horse i didn't realise he's played there, ignore me

I haven't fact checked it, but it was mentioned he was the 7 for NZ 20s when Lakai was at 8.

I still don't understand why he's not captain and calling the lineouts yet.
-
Savea or Sititi at 8 will depend on how confident we are in our scrum. Do we need young Wallace with another key responsibility at his age if the scrum is under pressure all night?

He'll probably do a clearing kick soon and have us wondering why he's not doing that too.
