Hames, Dmac and SBW for me. They created many inspirational moments for their team-mates in a toughie

TKB went close to my vote. His tactical decision making came just when we needed it and exposed the scratch nature of the oppo.

Agreed. He would have been my 4th choice.

For those criticising the decision to select TKB on this tour, would you have been confident if it was Pulu/Weber/Drummond coming on in the 2nd half?

I'd be having TKB on the bench in Paris. It won't happen though.

@hydro11 youll happily vote for Cane who knocked on at the end I see.

Knock ons happen. SBW chose a terrible option. I can get over mistakes - dumb passes, kicks and penalties are tougher to deal with.

Was it a terrible option? He was chipping ahead for Ioane, who we would back for pace..
His offload leading to Ioane's try was high risk, but when it came off it was amazing..
If the grubber came off, people would be lauding SBW for his array of skills.

I went with SBW, Read and Cane.

You might, I wouldn't. I hated the praise Garden-Bachop got for his stupid chip kick the other week.

I guess you weren't a fan of Goldie who used to do it and seemed like he had the ball on a string.

that's a bit different. wilson was generally at full pace with one man in front of him when he did it - and if it wasn't on, he had no problem taking contact. as an option for wilson it was reasonably good percentage-wise, and he was very well-practised at it.
sbw's biggest flaw has always been trying too much on his own. trying low-percentage hero plays. despite a good game, he did it again.

I'm confused. How can I vote for BBBR when he wasn't there?

SBW was solid I thought. Still not a well oiled combo with BB and Crotty though, can still hesitate 😞
For MotM I thought Ione and Smith (who at one stage was just outrageous), most others excellent, locks and bench especially. Read was there when he needed to be, lineouts and tackles. Also marveled at Cole's magic awareness of where ball would be (but thought he has lost a bit of speed) and Taylor for his pressure when he came on. SB was great, Squire's cameo was wrecking ball material, showed heaps of bogan mongrel (is that bongrel?) Thought of BB as 3rd but he varied from incredible to good to why did he do that, so no.
Went for Cane, really important part of team, so he is my #3.

@hydro11 Should calculate average number of votes per games played, if you want to compare players.

Fifita, Jordie and Crotty win that one easily but it doesn't mean much because they have been injured or just not good enough to be selected.

I went all front-row and see I'm only one picking Dane. His lineout throwins were amazing, and the scrum was incredible. Delighted to see him back in black, still a little rusty but for those reasons alone he gets my vote.

No surprise when Crotty n Smith went off they fell to bits. Those two just solidify the team!

    Aaron Smith

sam whitelock is such a good player. so good in the lineout, strong in the scrum, always right up there in tackle counts, and his ruck work, both with and without the ball is great. the number of times he makes a pain in the arse of himself on opposition ball is similar to some of our best loose forwards.

I wanted to watch a replay before voting to confirm if my impressions at the game were the same.

It was hard to only choose 3 players but BBBR, Read and Cane for me. The outcome in this test was always about the work done up front.

Ardie was good at 8, I think that position may suit him better in the long run.

Ardie Savea with one vote, I must have missed something that someone obviously saw ahead of 20 other blokes wearing the AB jersey.

    Whitelock, Perenara, Dagg.

    B. Barrett, Todd and J. Savea next best 3.

Beaudy 1st for me, major part of all three tries, two try saving tackles, especially the one on one tackle in second half was huge, nailed 3/3

BBBR next, massive hits and hit ups
Ardie third, I was at the ground and he was in everything defensively, didn't see Sam Whitelock as active as Ardie

    Worst 3

Aza Smith although perhaps unlucky to be carded maybe the ball was out?
    J Savea
Maybe Fekitoa, think he should have been red-carded and whilst his defence is v good, he is like a headless chook on attack by and large, hard marking for a guy who scored two tries.

Ok so there were 2 sets of Irish commentators, because the guys in that clip even with that small sample were streets ahead of the twats I listened to on BeIn channel.

Another ref may have red carded Feki, but also yellow carded and possible penalty try the defender who knocked down that pass.

if they didn't have the numerical advantage would they have gone for the 3 points instead of the drive and the subsequent try?

Can sit here with if's and but's all day.

Yes - Sexton was carrying an injury into the game with his hamstring - that's why he eventually went off. And definite decision to not try and win by threes.
