Canes vs Lions
-
Pity Gardiner isn't reffing. At the very least he is neutral whereas Jackson is a kiwi. Not accusing Jackson of anything but it's the principle. Gardiner is better though IMO although he bottled the Vito YC.

Jackson. Notorius homer* and a kiwi. I can see the facebook pages and arm bands already as a couple of hometown decisions cost the Lions.

(* - "homer" not "homo": there's a thread for that...) -

TAB - head to head: Canes $1.35, Lions $3.15

That's a very good option for the Lions!
-

... except no one has won a final after travelling between Australasia and SA,

only the Crusaders won out of their home country.

Reality is the Lions are up against it. Sending a B team to Arg could just cost them the comp - and it rests on the coach's decision.
-

still, for canes fans could be decent insurance, just in case!

A bigger concern is that he is fantastically average referee. I really don't know why he keeps getting test matches and big games. I think SANZAR/world rugby love the story of a retired pro reffing, but I don't see it.
-

Gardiner obviously being punished for not rightfully carding a dirty Canes player in the first half of the match last week.

But seriously, how is Jackson rated ahead of Gardiner. Sanzar are just thick as pig shit sometimes - it's a final, employ a neutral ref, especially when the neutral guy is the best guy available.
-

Canes CEO Avan Lee has personally called scalpers telling them to pull their tickets offline or he will cancel them.

I've been as laid back as a Southern European labourer up to now, but I'll lose my shit if the Canes screw this up. It's an astonishing achievement to get this far and the coaches and players deserve complements galore but it will be hard to swallow another home lose, this time to a South African team and one that has a Super record that makes the Canes look like the Saders on steroids. This will be like the 2011 RWC for me. I'll pace up and down the TV room with a squeaky bum for 80 odd minutes and pray that this is our year.

Please please please.
-

Oh how I mocked mrs Jegga when she told me we should get a season pass because they included finals tickets. She appears to have forgotten the conversation, hope it stays that way.

Enjoy the game mate, I had tickets available to me but have to pull a weekend shift at work on Sunday. Spewing.
-

I'm trying very hard to keep things on the down low. But you are right, if we choke this we will never have a better chance to win. Re-Coles I am sure he will rule himself out if he is not right and I am confident Riccitelli can do the business based on how he put himself about last Saturday
-
