@chris-b I hear you. When Aumua goes off for Wellington Coles will come on. Eek!
Moody is a pretty handy replacement for the head-butting Daniel Lienert Brown! Canterbury really paying the price.
On the plus side, we should get Tim Perry, which will sort of nullify the Moody advantage. But, Canterbury are also going to get Luke Whitelock - so Ta$man should get Liam Squire!!!
Fucking Cantab-loving Hansen!

@tim he is of the Going line
IIRC he has been part of a Brumbie Dev/WTG/Main squad for quite a few years, when he played for Northland (suffered a season ending injury fairly early on I think) about 4 or so years back he came and was part of one of the Brumbie squads then.
I suspect they will probably be looking a wee bit closer at him now though.

No he was fit the whole season but ranked behind Wright and Moulds - where I would still rank him personally. IIRC he had a 2 year contract but got out of the 2nd year because he didn't want to be a bench warmer again.

LOL, OK. Not behind Olsen too?
If Wright had any work-rate on defence he'd be a decent player. If Moulds had that mongrel, and could throw, then he would be too. Both are pretty 3rd rate. I don't expect them to be in much demand from other franchises.

Not currently but if Olsen had the same amount of game time in a top of the table team I'm sure he would look good too. Considering Olsen works full time outside of M10 Cup season I would say he could potentially be better if put in a full time professional environment like Abel has been in for the last 5 years.
I think Ross Wright is the best hooker out of all of them but unfortunately spends most of his time playing loosehead prop.

NZ Rugby and Waikato Rugby statement on Sevu Reece
Monday, 15 October, 2018 New Zealand Rugby and Waikato Rugby have concluded a misconduct hearing with Waikato player Sevu Reece following his discharge without conviction for a domestic assault earlier this year. New Zealand Rugby Head of Professional Rugby Chris Lendrum said while the misconduct process was a confidential employment process, in the interests of transparency, Reece and NZR had agreed to some details being released. "Sevu has accepted responsibility for the situation, is remorseful and is undertaking a suite of counselling and help programmes. He was suspended for one match, a sanction he served when he was not part of Waikato’s Ranfurly Shield match against Otago on Saturday. "We continue to encourage Sevu as he seeks to make improvements in his life. Sevu has also asked to be taken out of consideration for the Duane Monkley Medal, awarded to the best Mitre 10 Cup player of the year," Lendrum said. Any future employment with rugby in New Zealand would be dependent on him completing the help programmes, Lendrum said. As part of the misconduct process, all parties have agreed that no further comment on this matter will be made.

yea, we missed a lot. Delaney would have helped, but not to the extent that pushes us up the ladder. We were fucking ordinary.

@mariner4life dunno, what I'd of given for a 10 of his quality last season, I reckon he'd of made all the difference to our erratic team...this year we are a different kind of erratic.
