Hubbard fails to complete a single lift in the snatch.
Huh? I just watched her lift 125? Wasn't that the snatch?
Edit- Did it not count, I see she's not on the leaderboard
Yeah too much arm wobble. Should have challenged it.
Bloody hell. What a lot of angst for nothing in the end, you have to laugh 😂
The issue is Hubbard took a female's position at the games.
Sure, and that does suck, but at least she didn't steal someone's medal, that would have been much worse.

Ironically the biological male is probably the most female looking of the lot.

I just read today that she isn't the only trans at the Olympics. A former chick playing for Canadian women's soccer, identifies an non binary I think, had her boobs removed. There was an alternate who could have competed in the BMX freestyle. Unfortunate for Hubbard to inherit her fathers hairline when she is trying to be a women. Doesn't have the budget of Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner.

No non-Kenyan has won the 3000m steeplechase since 1980, amazing
Surely theirs isn't the only country people have to run nearly two miles while jumping over sleeping lions?

Apparently the steeplechase is like the Holy Grail for the Kenyans. I would have thought 10k or marathon, but nope, the steeplechase is their favourite.

Women's hockey:
The Netherlands are the first to score.
0 - 1 NLDisappointing. On the flip side some of the Dutch girls are quite hawt
I stayed in these same hotel as the Dutch field hockey team once in the Nehtherlands.
Many of them, are indeed, seriously seriously hot. On the flip side, the shortest one was about 6ft 1.
How is that a flip side?
canefan wants to flip them on their side?

The women's 5,000m Final is next. It will interesting to see whether Sifan Hassan's fall and catch-up race (1,500m) this afternoon will have any effect on her result in this Final.
I’ll support her in any race that doesn’t include a kiwi.

Women's football semi-final:
FT: Australia 0 - 1 Sweden
So the final on Friday (2.00pm) will be between Sweden and Canada.
Australia will play the USA for bronze on Thursday (8.00pm).A couple of cracking games.
Aussie trying for their first ever medal in women’s football. USA. They’ve never been this far before. USA form has been very up and down, but they’ve had so much success.
Neither Sweden or Canada have won gold. Sweden will be looking to go one better than Rio when they lost to Germany in gold medal race. Canada won bronze in both Rio and London, so have been knocking on the door for a while.
