The other factor is Crotty at 12 is trying to replace an all time great, a player who is in the conversation as the greatest 12 of all time and a player who was very noticeable style on the field, a very different style to Crotty.

Having said that Crotty has had a disrupted season of sorts, injured, at times not starting for the Crusaders - Ngatai had shown a bit more x factor at 12 this season. Unfortunately it looks like Ngatai will still be out so we may not get to see his chance for a little while at least.

I wonder if Moala gets a chance at all in test 3 with Fekitoa and Ngatai looking iffy.

Pretty hard to imagine him being fended off by Davies as if he was Ronan O'Gara or Merhts too.......

I thought that this forum was open about its disdain for and bias against all things Canterbury. I didn't think this was even up for debate.
Seems pretty clear that 1st Welsh try was forward. Even without my crude photoshopping skills, allowing for approximations of where the ball was released and received, it seems forward.

Has there been much conversation on this?

To the naked eye it looks forward. Is Wayne Barnes running that near touch-line.

was as 'forward' as TJP's try last week.

My provincial bias sits at ITM/Mitre 10 level, I have no allegiance to any Super side except the Kiwi ones, and then I support the one that has the best shot at the finals when they are facing one another

In the last week I've read compliments for Reuben Thorn and Crotty, DC and McCaw have been worshipped as veritable gods for years. No one hates you, start taking the medication again

I'm not sure where you could have got that idea from C79. But, you will see - if by some chance Toddy finally manages to win a Super title - the plethora of joy on our behalves that will reign across the site.

The weeks leading up will be full of the usual, "If [my team] doesn't win, I hope the Crusaders do. They're my second favourite team."

I think it's the most-used phrase ever on the site - at least on the topic of second favourites! :)

Dead right Chris, it was well proven by this thread. It seems most posters here enjoy a good Crusaders win almost as much as they enjoy being proven wrong by Crusaders supporters, which are of course both pretty common events.

I find it quite sad you've been festering away on that thread for the past three months because a couple of people mocked your beloved team. Outside of a comment here or there on the fern I rarely give to fucks either way about your rugby team and will in the future continue to point out the only thing with a more disturbing lack of genetic diversity than the maui dolphin population is a capacity Deans stand.

Well I think the team I picked typifies him and many Crusaders. Steady.....but with about as much spark as a firecracker in a torrential downpour.
