The scorelines in Super Rugby are absolutely ridiculous.
70 points plus per game.
Not sure how well this serves us or the Aussies in preparing for test footy.
As we saw last year, those performing in SR are among the best players in TR.
And a good lot of them didnt get picked

Fair point, but also counter to your fear of super rugby not preparing us...

I wonder if the season progresses and we see a whole lot of young lads out perform long-time ABs whether Robertson will be brave and end some careers, or whether he will give them another season pushing the form is temporary, class is permenant they are proven performers blah blah.

at least the Blues are doing their bit to keep the points down.

No.
Havili and Blackadder in particular need all the opportunity and time to get back into form. I don't want any young pretenders usurping them.
-
I'd like to see a few changes in the AB squad but I fear it won't happen as experience seems to be Robertson's main criteria for his selections. New faces I'd like to see : Tavatavanawai, Tangitau, Tupaea (not really a new face but new in Robertson's squad) and Parker. However, let's see if these ones can keep on being in great form.

Can confirm Razor was at Twickenham for the Six Nations so doing his research.
I was sat right in front of the box so tried to get Raeburn Shield cards to him ☺️

Wonder if we could see a reshuffle of the coaching setup, if Penney gets the flick or are they going to get someone offshore, inhouse or one of the All Black assistants like Hanson or Ellison?
If Penney is moved on, I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if it was to the ABs.

The series against France is going to be tough. They are crushing Italy away who the All Blacks really struggled against in their last test.
France are bringing their dirt trackers though arent they?
Leaving the big guns at home I was led to believe.

@Jet Let's see.
And even if they do rest a few of their star names, I bet they'll still bring some bloody good players hungry to turn the All Blacks over at home.
Fair to say they gave Italy a proper towelling up today.

I think the Highlanders (albeit it is only two games) are a pretty good case study for what the All Blacks need to do.
Jamie Joseph is obviously a better coach than Clark Dermody, but more than anything he is a better selector - and that is key.
Razor and his coaching staff are clearly very talented - you don’t have the success he had a Super Level without that. I would hope on reflection he can learn from his errors of last year and can pick with more clarity this year.

yeah I'm hoping for a improvement to.last year looked like a guy who had only coached in a pond.
this year will be interesting -
@ploughboy I think most would agree that the forwards operated pretty well… loose trio might need to evolve, but there is a plethora of options there.
I think Jase Ryan will like Simon Parker (was he in the XV?)
It was the backline that was a shambles, particularly from a depth standpoint.
I have been a big defender of both J Barrett and R Ioane as a midfield, but I do think a midfield of Tavatavanawai and Proctor has a certain level of intrigue to it.

@frugby our loosies got consistently outplayed nearly every weekend, with injury enforced Sititi the only bright light, though he was an 8 playing 6 so we didn't have any kind of enforcer on the field. That did make things more difficult for our backs, we rarely had clean ball.

Roigard and DMac are easily our best 9 and 10, both inside and outside of NZ. If Razor can't make it work with them then he needs to hand in his resignation asap.
