I'm not convinced De Groot should be in the 23 as a starter. When did he last play?
He often seems to struggle with fitness. He didn't play to well last time he started.
Tu'ungafasi was good off the bench.
Neither am I, Ofa and Tosi were very good off the bench and probably saved our arse against England, they deserve to be the bench props for Ireland. I'd be happy if Williams, Aumua and Lomax started in the front row.

Williams gave away a couple of scrum penalties over the weekend, one of which led directly to points. I'd prefer we have our best scrummager starting.

@Landers92 won’t be believing that source again then. My normal one is has a better strike rate.

I appreciate you guys sharing what you hear, regardless of whether it works out or not.
I really believe we get better coverage here than in the press.

Those penalties were rubbish. Gardiner has never had a clue. We won 100% of our scrums anyway.
All of our props are better scrummagers than Ireland.

Glad we didn't lose Holland. The loss of coaching IP is worrying.
-
If we are losing AB assistants t without actually firing them first, we are in really big trouble.
Was that even a story or another media beat-up?

Could be a beatup.

The first one was a good call IMO. The second one was rubbish. I would keep the Mighty Williams in the starting XV as he is fairly mobile and has good hands. Ireland is not as good as England (with its starting forwards) as far as scrum is concerned.

Also worth noting that Tadhg Furlong won't feature this weekend.
Well that is a plus for us I imagine...

Hi does anyone have any info please. UK / EU travel requirements are changing apparently.
Live in UK indefinite leave to remain from marriage. Have NZ passport only with sticker in it.
Travelling to France for Paris test. What do I need?Good luck mate. North Korea, Iran and New Zealand make up the French axis of evil. Expect water boarding and full body search. Make sure you kiss the wife and kids goodbye before you board the plane.

@Billy-Tell who said anything about a plane? Easier and quicker by train.
Or boat.

Plenty of rumours about Ethan De Groot going around. Just going to clear it up from what I’ve heard.
De Groot missed a team meeting before the England test so was ruled out of that test. Tamaiti Williams and Ofa played well against England so they are rewarded with another shot this weekend and EDG has to earn his spot back. Pretty bloody fair imo.

Yeah - between @Landers92 shutting down manufactured scandal, and @Mauss writing sensible and level-headed rugby analysis - this place has changed, man.
- "Awful analysis, incorrect conclusions, zero insight ... Wrong about pretty much everything"
... what happened to our ideals?
