Springboks vs All Blacks 2

This AB pack is starting to remind me of 99-01 AB era packs
Undersized try hards.
That were superior to the SA forwards for the majority of the first game.

It certainly is a bit unusual for the Boks.
I am quite intrigued (and have no clue) as to why the Bok management have gone this route. They worked out we don't have much depth in this squad.
Bloody hell some of you guys are being hard on the AB team
They didn't get spanked last week. One or two marginal things going their way in that test and they would have won.
I don't consider Saturday to be anything else than a 50:50 again. -

@canefan
Just realistic.
What would the narrative have been if the AB's had won?
What will it be if they win on Saturday? We could have easily come out on top last week. But we made critical errors and couldn't stop the saffa bench from closing out the game. That's a big handicap to overcome

Cut out a few errors, and be a bit smarter with game management in the last 10 minutes...
Hardly an insurmountable challenge.
I know you guys just want to claim underdog status... -

We may see some significant changes in the loose forward squad when we play Oz.

One reason why we changed the coaching setup - expertise at closing out hard games
Hardly an insurmountable challenge.
Appears to be though...

The way I see us winning, is that the pack front up enough to give Ratima a chance to show he can supply the backs with quick ball. DMac makes use of the extra time, kicks better than last week, and when we go to the backs the extra time allows us to run through the saffa backline. We get ahead and BB and TJP guide us home, if the bench forwards can hang in. Lots of big ifs in there

The squad they picked is for the RC isn't it? Only changes will be injury enforced if so

Front row and 2 loosies. I expect PSDT will shift to lock at some point. They have a ton of faith in that engine of his.Backline changes (assuming no injuries) will be interesting too.
Does SFM go in at 10 or 15? (could also go at 12).
Am covers 13 predominantly but could go 12 or wing.Hendrikse is straight up swap at 9...
Nortje will catch a stray elbow at 30 and have breather. Then back on for 15, subbed and back at 65 when Kolisi targets a shoulder with his head.

Just been given the backline for this weekend below. Again, this contact hasn’t led me astray before so very reliable. Very very surprised by some choices and the amount of changes which makes you question the accuracy but fuck it, hasn’t been wrong yet so yeah sharing with the fern. Caleb Clarke is out injured.
- Ratima
- Dmac
- Telea
- J.Barrett
- Ioane/ALB(this isn’t yet decided)
- Reece
- Jordan
Bench
21. Perenara
22. B.Barrett
23. Couldn’t quite hear the name or whatever was said there unfortunately, I’m guessing whoever isn’t selected at 13 so either Ioane or ALB.The correct Q is no longer what time is ABs team announced but what time is Landers92 posting the team?
Haha cheers mate, I do what I can. It’s not much, but it’s honest work.
Seeing that backline had me questioning it a little bit, I won’t lie, but until I provide wrong info I’ll continue to fire in the oil for the ferners.

One of the major points is how DMac is going to use the good ball that he is going to get from Ratima.
I'm a fan of long kicks and inside balls if spinning it wide isn't on.
I wouldn't mind not seeing a high contestable all day. Definitely no own half dinks.
How come DC or GF could reel off long territorial kicks or am I just old fashioned. -

5-3 split. Interesting!
That's against the spirit of the rules!
14 month ban

Bok team is out. here we go.
Some fragility there. Lineout will be under pressure if Nortje doesn’t go full 80. If a lock needs replacing and Kolisi plays the usual 60, Wiese will have to play the full 80.

Rassie?! Is that you lurking on here?
The skill with which these Bok forwards can get themselves cut and / or headbutted is quite something to behold.
