Is it a "clear red" or an uptick yellow?
For me - Yellow with bunker review.

I'm making the point that it wasn't even looked at. Sam Cane has a history of doing these types of upright tackles, needs coaching. Probably should have been red by the rules, but in the spirit of the game - yellow. But i'm not a TMO

@BerniesCorner you’re forgiven.
We’ve all been sore.
But Brace wasn’t the reason you lost that game. In fact, viewed fairly he kept you in the game for the first 60.
Reading comprehension obviously not taught in RSA schools - not one poster has said the ref cost us the match, clown.

@Billy-Webb No disrespect but you've downplayed the Mbonambi lost ball. The outcome was unacceptable and the officials should acknowledge they erred.
No disrespect but the outcome was very far from unacceptable. It wasn’t clearly and obviously wrong anyway so it couldn’t be reversed.
More importantly you’ve ignored Billy’s understatement that for every baffling call against the ABs there was an equally baffling call against the Boks.
Anyone who’s watched Brace ref a few URC games will tell you that this is standard for him. His decisions are as baffling as the fact that he keeps failing upward.
Rubbish take on the clear and obvious knock on or didn’t you see the ball bounce on the ground?
Billy’s comment is a cliche with nothing to back it up
Actually, I was trying to avoid a tit-for-tat on could've - would've...
If you want examples I'll give you two:
AB first try - truck&trailer.
Sam Cane breaking Kolisi's cheek with his head in the tackle - definite yellow, likely red card...So no - not a cliche. We can argue who got more bad calls till the cows come home, point being some shockers against the Boks too and the ref did not cost the AB's the game. Poor game management and running out of puff in the last 10... maybe look there?
Fark you Boks supporters are braindead aren’t you? You are comparing an obvious knock on in the act of scoring with marginal maul offences we see umpteen times a match - and especially by your own team. Seriously dude stop sniffing your own farts, breath in some fresh air and get some oxygen to your brain.

In fairness Junior, in SA schools we are taught to read not only for comprehension but also for understanding subtext and innuendo.
Given the level of bleating about the referee and some cherry picked decisions (by some posters) it is not incomprehensible to draw the conclusion that a few are blaming the ref -

Three main events in 70 - 75.
First, at 73 Boks maul stopped and Finau come up side. Pretty sure he heard Brace say 'don't change your bind' but not 'out, out'.
Completely unnecessary, as Boks going backwards and RD effected turnover at 73.17. The following 5m lineout leads to try.
Darry make run and tackled at 76:14. Knee on ground but Etzebeth doesn't release. Pen ought to have gone our way.
Last two minutes BB and I think DMac both try kick passes when possession absolutely key. FFS.
That said, reffing from 65 - 68 cut our legs from under us.
Nice but post actually your not allowed to say any of that on here otherwise some braindead idiot like @Dan54, @Billy-Webb or @Smuts will gallop on on his fucking high horse and point out that the refs didn’t cost the ABs the game (whilst implicitly reserving the right to blame the ref for single handedly gifting the ABs the win next week if those circumstances eventuate).

Firstly - I never defended Mbonambi's try.
Secondly, an infringement is an infringement. You don't get to choose which one you want to let be okay based on your own bias. Thirdly, I note with interest that you pointedly ignore the Sam Cane incident.I try to be fair in my view (accepting my own bias will cloud what I see).
I also don't gloat in victory - knowing full well how it feels to be on the other side of a close one.You - JUNIOR - on the other hand, can do with a hard look in the mirror mate.
Learn to lose with some grace, or go watch soccer. -

I agree technique not the best. Pretty difficult tackling a dipping body
Half of twitter is full of SA fans saying it's a red. nah -
@pakman Many posters weren't worried about the poor finish in Argie 2, wasn't here to comment much in the England series. But it seems our play when the bench comes on has been weak for a while and it manifested predictably in Joburg on the weekend

As for being gracious, why don’t YOU accept that you got 5 undeserved points by a baffling and wrong call. I have not said anywhere that the ref cost us and not a single poster here has otherwise. To a man every poster has torn shreds off our guys for not taking the gilt edged chances they had to bury the match. And yet all you can do is carry on with refereeing whataboutisms in an attempt to gaslight us all into thinking we are all blaming the ref for the result. As I said previously, stop sniffing your own farts, go outside and get some oxygen to your brain.

If TJ had blasphemed in Afrikaans would we have won?

Lose the argument, call for rule change to change reality.

I would agree with that.
Very strange the TMO did not at least ask Brace to review his decision. That's why I wonder if he saw something on another angle camera. Apparently they got a lot of angles they play on all those screens in front of them.

What did he say? And was it directed at the ref?

If we’d changed cattle at 63 when 5m out from Bok line, it couldn’t have made things worse, but at least they wouldn’t have come on to face as their first plays a couple of heavy duty mauls in and around our own 22.

Well talking of braindead, show me in a post where I have ever blamed a ref for an ABs win or loss?? Just one would be ok.
You obviously don't understand what I am saying refs make mistakes , as do players, but once a ref has made a decision and it's on the scoreboard it's no good crying and kicking your feet about it, it make syou look a pisspoor loser whereevr you from.
Remember when we won test against Wallabies a couple of years back when ref rulled that Foley took to long to kick ball out. I said exactly same thing there to Aussie supporters too! -

Wasn’t engaging in any argument about whether Brace got that call right or wrong. As we won, I’m above nitpicking individual whistleswallows/blows. Next week I might not be
I am saying that it’s a stupid rule.

PSdT drove into Lomax before Savea was back on the ground. Pushed him across and was stuck there.

As others have said, it only came out recently. So it didn't get a lot of attention previously.
Rugby doesn't know how to deal with players dipping into tackles. It's a real problem. Cane got low-ish, Kolisi got lower and it's contact. By the laws at the moment, it's probably a YC - but can argue for penalty or RC if you have one eye
