Yeah, overall we played very well albeit making too many errors.
I thought we probably blew it when we fucked up 2 opportunities in their 22 around the 65 minute mark. That was the winning of the game if we took points then.
The ref was very harsh on us but it is not a surprise really when you play in a cauldron such as Ellis park.
Pissed off we disnt win as it was their for the taking but we have shown enough to suggest we are a decent side and can go toe to toe with this ‘generational’ Bok side (I always knew we would)

All SA had to do was play tight and smart

Ref was a disBrace. Every 50/50 call was against the ABs. The non tackle on Darry and then the penalty against Ardie were just incredible. That said, the ABs were poor during the second half, particularly BB, Finau and Jordan. Why did BB kick away so many hard won possessions with just a few minutes to play and ABs trailing by 4 points ?
From an experienced player, that was just insane ! -

When you watch it back, Brace & team absolutely shafted NZ on numerous occasions
And he was very lenient to NZ transgressions in the danger zone
And NZ played a stupid gameplan when ahead. They should have pegged the Boks back at every opportunity
And NZ gave away far too many correctly called penalties

I have never seen a worse refereeing display in my life. Robbed again. The SA must have stood in a mountain of shit to get away with that. That try never was and the decision about TJ when we we on a way to another try. Fucking disgusting. I hope that ref never refs another game again let alone one that important.

It’s hard not to think that Beaudie went off script given how the rest of the team was attacking and then what he was doing. Was a stark contrast.
