The ball runner getting the ball standing still or under pressure from a defender already on him.

yeah this especially is frustrating to watch.

We just don't have anyone with a big enough kick to make us decent ground.

We don't rate people who kick well. Far prefer passers and runners. Other countries shake their head at us fielding sub-par goalkickers in Tests; for us it's been prioritising different skillsets.

I don't know that that's the right approach given the modern rush defence makes Tests bloody hard to score any meaningful points (unless you're Argentina vs NZ of course)

I'm not sure this is true modern tests have way more tries than previous eras. I think it is more how we kick.

But the biggest and most frustrating thing about our attack is we still take the ball standing still all the fucking time, this is one of my two biggest annoyances that I hoped would change under Razor. If there is flowing counter attacking movement we llook great, but balls from rucks go to a pod of forwards standing still. The other shitting thing we do is the kicking, as mentioned we still do too many shitty little 'clever' kicks that don't come off, and don't control the game by kicking long and into corners etc. Exit kicking is esp dire for this.

And it has been shiiiiiiiiiiiite for a decade or so

    Rewatch 60 -70

Two scrums consume two of first five minutes! We go forward in the first but Ofa's side collapses. Pumas bluff at second and earn free kick as ABs go early.

In between, ball ripped from Kremer on their 22, several forward rumbles (Newell makes 4m) although always from standing starts, and Jordan comes in one out again and but for forward pass DMac was over by sticks.

At 65, Aumua,Sititi and Ioane on. Two very good kicks from DMac in back field, one a metre away from 50:22.

From lineout Niggles penalised (late - touchie?) for interfering with Puma jumper's arm on way down. IN FACT replay shows clearly his band on the ball. Gardner error.

At 67 he redeems himself by stealing Puma ball in lineout. RD brain fart leads to 5m scrum.

For scrum at 68, Puma TH bores in at 45 degrees and goes forward. Angus on other side, but looked a penalty for ABs on replay. EB misses textbook tackle on breaking 8, and try scored.

Another seven Puma points originating from dubious penalty, this time in their half.

ABs actually had much the better of period but scoreboard 0 -7.

Niggles the Bad (dubious!), the Good and the Ugly.

    70 - 80

Lineout at 76: Throw straight, but Sititi forgets call and doesn't jump.

So Robertson and co. left Hoskins Sotutu and Akira Ioane, the two standout forwards from Super Rugby this year, out of the squad for a player who couldn't remember his lineout call.

You are right. This is why guys like Mo'ounga and BB in particular will get the nod at 10 over a guy like Plummer who is probably seen as too vanilla. Problem is, our distance kicking and exits are woefully poor and running out of our own half oftenndoesnt end well

DMac got excellent distance on Chiefs exits.

That's why I didn't name him. But our game plan does not showcase his skills in that department. Too busy box kicking

    Good analysis: https://www.rugbypass.com/plus/are-razors-all-blacks-heading-for-an-early-exit-in-the-rugby-championship/

I noticed Jordie seemed often to gravitate to short side, which had negative consequences.

@pakman god that was depressing, couldn't finish it.

Fucking funny though at the bit where Razor says what they were doing all last week.

The first ten were all exit, so parked rest for when I'm feeling sunnier!

Quite a lot of Squidge over-excitement, but we often kicked without sizing up what was in front of us, and a handful of instances where almost entire pack folded one side of ruck leaving other side woefully under-defended.

Not sure if a system thing but I'd not noticed that in other games.
