I'm pleased Perofeta will start in the sense that at least it's something interesting and different to watch out for.
Not being the most avid Super rugby watcher can anyone tell me what he brings to the table at his best ?
Organises the counter attack well, puts people in space. Can be used as a second play maker. He has something deceptive with his centre of balance that allows him to get through tackles that he shouldn't.. for a small guy he makes a lot of line breaks like that
However we haven't seen much of that this year because of injuries and his form hasn't been the best

He did play well in the Super Rugby playoffs. He makes good decisions on counter attack, sees space well and has good speed and footwork to set up breaks for himself and others. High ball work was good in the playoffs at 15.
He also offers another kicking option and has a good variety of kicks.
Can operate as a second pivot option coming in at first receiver.
That's what I would say him at his best is.
Appreciate the feedback.
Looks very frail to me, hopefully this isn’t the case
Yeah that would be the downside. Physicality, he tends to be flakey and he
hasn't impressed in his admittedly very limited test minutes so far. -
Fairly predictable team given the squad and limited preparation time.
Looking forward to seeing the evolution of our play.

or a choir boy
This is why I didn’t want to go to St Pats college
You'd have to wait until he retires from AB duty..(and gets a sainthood .. they're rare in Auckland)

I hope when Marcus Smith gets folded by Finau he drifts deeper and deeper until he's hiding behind the fullback.
-
Conservative squad apart from 6 and 15... Hope locks are aok!

Or Finau misreads the hit and is red carded 50/50.

England won't be in fear of this team. And the 'nice boy' jersey
That jersey is a psychological masterstroke for England.
It has an Eton collar - so if things are going badly for us, we only need say in lordly tones, "I say old chap, how dare you tackle me. Naff off" - and the English will lie down before us.

Pessimistic. His worst effort was a penalty for being a step late. Home crowd should influence the ref to penalise Marcus.

agreed, if what @Duluth says is true it could be a nice change, maybe more of a structured counter actually working to connect with options rather than the "up the guts" approach

Ok then 2 red cards

Finau does like to fold backs in half, and there is always risk associated with that if he gets it slightly wrong. And in the modern game, with fans always baying for cards, particularly if it's big man vs little man, it's going to end in yellow or red sooner rather than later. Cards have been a huge issue for the ABs recently so I am hoping this current coaching group can get that part right across the board, not just with Finau.

Oh, and I am really looking forward to seeing what Pat T can do. His form this year was outstanding, if he can translate any of that to the test arena he and SB could form a potent combo for us.
