Chiefs v Brumbies

@KiwiMurph he looked in alot of pain for it too, the way they were stretching it did look like cramp, just a bad dose.
Ah Kuoi is a good player
-
That was bloody nice.. each man doing what he needed to.
-
39-12
A fair reflection of the game so far
Chiefs are class. Brumbies are very limited
-
Wheeler is the #1 pain in the coms box for me
-
Stupid by Dmac

He tries far too hard = painful
-
Brumbies reserve hooker murdered that try. Option by Lolesio just before was poor as well
-
Kicking game not quite so good now.
-
MSR just snatched that one. Brilliant
-
Doesn't clueless Joey realise that Ardie is available for the ABs this year?
-
Well played Chiefs.
-
MSR when he curbs his bone headed decisions is handy
-
@akan004 Wheeler has about one brain cell so he probably wouldn’t know.
-
Brumbies are rubbish and deserve this thrashing. Th elook like apoorly coached side
46-12
-
red incoming
-
Glad that was only a yellow, was about to throw my toys out of the cot and go join @mariner4life watching the bogan rugby in Vegas.
-
Poor technique
-
@Nepia it will be upgraded.
-
@taniwharugby @KiwiMurph
Are you both trying to make me throw my toys. Anyway, I'm a dolt, I 100% forgot that they check it on the sideline now.It has been upgraded.
I thought bending of the knees etc was supposed to be taken into account? I don't understand interpretations anymore.
-
Good game, Chiefs lost a little structure in 2nd 40mins.. but job was done. Good start to the season.
-
Chiefs biggest ever win over the Brumbies. Still heaps of improvement for the Chiefs but can't be unhappy with that.
-
Some of the best Rugby I have seen in ages. Chiefs masterclass early. The team remind me of Ireland in that every player seemed to know exactly what was going on. Such a contrast to the Saders last night.
Roe and Ratima are fire at the back and McKenzie showing why he needs to be the ABs 10.
Also important is the Chiefs stability in coaches and several key positions.

Chiefs have won more quarter finals

Also talent wise. There were players on that Chiefs bench that would start for the Crusaders.

What this game also showed is just how important 9/10 are to a team. Without those game drivers teams struggle.

The Chiefs are so good to watch. Protect DMac at all costs! How good was Jacobson? That man has concrete in his shoulders. As an opposition player, you'd think twice about hitting it up with Finau and Jacobson in front of you.
Anyway, the Chiefs looking like a well-oiled machine again. Would feel better if McMillian was in the AB coaching setup. His tactical battles with Razor have been games within games in the last few years. -
Hopefully tupaea, narawa and Lord will be back next week, Liam coombes fabling tries hard but he just lacks the size poihipi was very solid and nanai seturo is growing into a very good superrugby player if he continues with this form I hope the all black selectors will be watching

That scoreline was quite a statement. Were the Chiefs that good, or did the Brumbies underperform?

IMHO the Brumbies had entirely the wrong game plan, and the chiefs never let them into the game
-
Kudos to whoever was calling the moves in the backs. The way they were hitting guys coming in at speed, and then breaking tackles, was superb. They seemed to use an extra second or two in identifying targets in the defensive line and gee did it work.
Chiefs props did so much good work too and Jacobson and Finau dominated the contacts. And the backs were on fire. Great to see that level of confidence in attack. -
@ARHS That move were they had CF come in off his wing as second receiver to then pass wide was class, creates that extra player in the backline. Chiefs are just very well drilled, almost as if every play is part of a larger set play, every player knowing their role and executing it, AKA Ireland. They will be very hard to beat this year if no major injuries to key players.
-
Just watched - that was a comprehensive flogging in all aspects of the game. Well done to the Chiefs.
3, 2, 1 goes to Finau, MSR and ENS
-
Well played the Chiefs, but gee the crowd were pathetic for that one. All the atmosphere of a morgue.
-

Chiefs were good obviously but something is off with the Brumbies at the moment.
They didn't play well in the first week despite winning big on the scoreboard. For instance they are missing a lot of tackles.. they actually defended worse against the Rebels but there was a considerable difference in the oppositions ability to finish off an attack. They don't have the usual Brumbies accuracy either
Maybe they are trying a few new things? They have the Force next week, a good chance to get back in the groove. But if they struggle again maybe they just aren't that good this year?
-
The brumbies appear to have a real problem with their tackle completion, was a very good game for the Chiefs, good to see the backline click and grow in confidence, great to see depth growing in the tight 5. All positive signs!

If their defence isn't great, and they don't generate scrum penalties, they need a new gameplan. The old grinding and mauling tries is limited.
I guess that's good for rugby?
