I thought the list of people who have carried their bat would be longer:

The biggest test result in years
That young man has had one of the all time tours of Australia. The shit dreams are made of.
They'll be playing his efforts today alongside some of the greatest players to pull on the shirt -
13 March 1986 and David Boon on that list is the one I always think of. Seven year old me at Eden Park for the first time hadn’t heard the “carried his bat” phrase before. But I remember picking up from my Dad that it was an impressive feat for a batter to do.
However he goes from here as an opener, Steve Smith has joined a special list.

On the flip side, this test was another where the all-time level Australian attack wasn't enough to bail out their fragile batting. The last 2 years they have struggled for consistency, but someone gets enough to provide enough for the bowlers to get the 20 required
But not this time

Aah, Rodney Pig. Never a fan.
Ahh anyone remember when he almost lost his ear to Hadlee, that was his highlight
What a fluffybunny

Winning a test in Australia is not easy, well done the Windies, magnificent effort.
For all the earlier shit opener comments, some credit to Smith, great innings even to hang in there

Haha one innings and 3 failures do not make an opener.
We will see -

@Chris 6 and 12 were bad
91* was good.
Not sure what he's meant to do about 11*
Score more
Ah yeah. He should have got the other 15 on offer in an innings total of 26 to win 🤔

Or at least 12* not 11* a complete fail.

If we completely shit the bed against this Aussie team I will be so pissed
Their bowling is awesome, but their batting is not
But we have that mental block

Shamar Joseph looks frigging awesome. 12 months ago he was playing amateur cricket and working as a security guard. Delighted for West Indies Cricket. It's not often the Aussies lose at the Gabba. Awesome to see them humbled.
A great second innings turn around by England to beat India by 20 runs. They don't lose many at home either.
A wonderful few hours for Test Cricket.
