Patrick Tuipulotu, Luke Jacobson and Ethan de Groot
Who do we expect to come in? Isaia Walker-Leawere, Hoskins Sotutu and Xavier Numia?
George Bower?
If EDG doesn’t go it’s most likely to be Bower. He was training with the All Blacks last week and didn’t play for Otago on the weekend.
Another middle finger salute to form Super Rugby players then. Oh, and Bower is a Crusader, surprise surprise.
Bower was also probably the best crusader early season and is a very underrated AB. He's probably a better carrier than most of the other props and he works hard.
I would be wincing watching Numia debut in SA.
I think a year ago you’re probably right but a big reason Numia’s gone so well this year is because of the extra size he’s put on. I think he would manage well, and his mobility would be a huge plus. He’s apparently clocking in at 118kg now so that’s definitely big enough for test rugby.
Whoever goes anyway is unlikely to play.
Which in this scenario you take the experienced player.
They run three front row setups at training and having the expected starters and bench crew run against the remaining 3. Having someone who has been on the setup, has 20+ tests under his belt including 3 against the Boks will add a bit of insight.

Still think he should switch to hooker...
Watching him demolish Aussie THs I am entirely happy for him to remain at LH.
Oh for sure, happy for him to play LH against Aus, I should have said I think he should cover 1 and 2.
If he could throw I'd be confident in him giving Bell a run for his money. Shit actually Bell can't throw either can he?

50 games and counting.

To add on to my other message. Being an All Black coach isn’t exactly a regular job either. I can understand ignoring colleagues and the likes but not when you’re in a position he is in. This day and age you’re looking to build a culture, a good team dynamic… If ignoring his player in public is how we wants to roll then I think it says quite a lot about the guy. Theres also other things too that I won’t put out there. Would hate to know what he acts like within the environment.

Seeing a lot of chat about Holland and McDonald in here which is justified. For what it’s worth I’ll add my 2 cents.
I know guys that have played with and under Leon McDonald and there are extremely mixed reviews. Without taking a jab at the guys character and morals, it seems a bit of odd when you’re out for breakfast and you come across one of your squad members who is there with his family, you would stop and introduce yourself and chat wouldn’t you? Apparently not if you’re Leon… you look at them and ignore them like you don’t know them.(Should probably not have said that but meh).
Mixed reviews on the coaching side too but that’s a personal preference I feel so take it with a grain of salt, players don’t always have to like their coaches to get team results.
Seems relevant now.

@Jet I'd feel more comfortable with him at fullback than Jordan and the whole point of him being there is for his utility "value".
Didnt Havili score against SA on debut at Fullback?
do you think scoring a try makes him a good fullback?
I just don't think it's relevant. George Bridge scored the most tries in Super one year and his highlights reel was running in with no defenders in sight. It's a terrible metric, but one that lazy journalists and northern hemisphere have always leaned into. Now creating tries is different ... Will Jordan got plaudits last week, but the pass from TJP was insanely good - incredibly hard to defend and put his man in space. THat was the magic.

Read my earlier post, literally 2 fucking posts above yours. Im saying Havili shouldn't even be in the squad.
I merely asked the question whether Havili scored a try on debut in SA from fullback.
I was just asking a question to pass the time on a quiet Thursday.
Why does everyone treat every post like a fucking thesis.
