@canefan I actually think the measure will be in SA. I don't think beating the Pumas tonight will make us real good etc.
I agree your point there was just some stupid stuff last week, but is often the case when we lose to lesser teams isn't it? -

But if we'd carved out a couple of scratchy wins against the Pumas, after a couple of scratchy wins against England would not have allowed the new lot the pain and potential learning that a loss does. Perhaps the pain and soul searching I expect would have gone on this week will be a blessing in disguise if we end up playing well in the republic

In a world of comparing foster v razor , if we do that ,
It’s interesting how most just assumed razor would achieve more, I had hoped so too ,
It's a bit early to say he won't!
One major difference between them is that Foster was shit before he joined the AB's. After years of Chiefs failures, as soon as he left they won Super under Rennie. At least Razor has something going in to recommend him. Foster did of course set the precedent by losing to Arg at home too
It will be interesting to see if Razor gets reappointed in a year or two if he has a record like Foster. Would one win in SA save him too?

Razor doesn't get reappointed after a couple of years, he already there until 2027

Poorly worded in “reappointed”. Still there was the point. That will depend on results. He is supposed to be there until ‘27. You reckon that will happen happen if he loses the Bled and say 3 matches on EOY tour ? ( extreme example with the Bled but adding drama to make point). Contracts can be broken

It’s a bit early to predict anything really ,
I fully want razor to succeed, and I did fozzie as well , end of the day I’m just an ab supporter who wants success

This sort of side for the rest of the year please.
1 Williams or De Groot
2. Taylor
3. Lomax
4. S. Barrett
5. Darry
6. Finau or Vaii
7 Paps
8. A. Savea
9. TJP (if it's wet). Ratima (if dry)
10. DMac
11. C.Clarke or Reiko Ioane
12. Jordie Barrett (maybe ALB)
13. Billy Proctor
14. W. Jordan ( right wing looks his stronger position at test level)
15. B. Barrett- Sami T or Aumua
- De Groot or Williams
- Ofa T or Newell (I'd like to see Newell given some time in the NPC to develop his game beyond set piece)
- Patty T
- Ethan Blackadder, but I'm hoping Sotutu might be back for the EOYT.
- Roigard once he's ready, but any of Ratima, TJP or Notham until then.
- Perofeta or Love
- ALB or Reiko
-
As nice as that first half was to watch, I won't be convinced there's been a material change until the All Blacks consistently play that well.
And the bench don't look like they meet on the bus.

From Stuff:
Scott Barrett is expected to return from a finger injury to captain the All Blacks for two tests away to South Africa.
Patrick Tuipulotu, Luke Jacobson and Ethan de Groot are under injury clouds and might not travel with the 36-man squad. So, out for Argentina?

Who do we expect to come in? Isaia Walker-Leawere, Hoskins Sotutu and Xavier Numia?

Surely it's Lakai or Lio-Willie? The 7.5 is strong.

I obviously wouldn't mind 3 Canes being called up but Lakai's time will come. Hoskin's deserves it more at this stage after a great Super season.
